This is my first Doctor Who fanfiction so constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. Sorry if it's not completely accurate. I've spent all morning trying to get my head around River's timeline in comparison to the Doctor's. This is just a oneshot of rivers thoughts sometime during The Impossible Astronaut.
She couldn't help but gaze at him as his hands swept across the controls of the TARDIS, her Doctor, the man she loved with all her heart. But he would slip away from her. That had been ever so painfully decided.
The cruellest thing about it was that he was in complete ignorance to the fact that his closest companions knew the exact time, date and cause of death. It tortured her to look at him so happy but so naive with regards to his future. She on the other hand knew almost everything.
She loved his eyes. His eyes were the only thing that could give away his age, his wisdom. They were old and soft and again young and bright. They were always wandering , never really locking on anything even in deep thought. She sighed.
" Anything the matter?" He said as he looked up with a quizzical look on his face.
" Spoilers Sweetie..."
