The Slug's Apprentice
A/N: I have taken up a fanfic challenge from gman391. I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1:
Naruto, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Shizune were heading back to Konoha after fighting Orochimaru and his henchman Kabuto. The quartet were an odd bunch. Naruto had spiky, blonde hair, and sapphire blue eyes, and was wearing his orange and blue jumpsuit. he had recently won Tsunade's "cursed" necklace, and was wearing it proudly around his neck, ignorant to its special ability. He could Summon Toads, but had yet to seal the deal with Gamabunta. Jiraiya had long, spiky white hair, with a special head piece with the kanji for oil (油) on it. He too could Summon toads, but Gamabunta had a beef to pick with him. He wore a red and green outfit and is a super-pervert and Toad Sage. Tsunade had blonde hair in two pig-tails, and brown eyes. She wore a light blue shirt that exposed a lot of cleavage, and black pants. She was the top Medic nin, and could use her chakra to increase her strength several times over, as well as being able to Summon Slugs. Shizune was the apprentice to Tsunade, and specialized in poisons, and could do moderate first aid.
They could soon see the gates of Konoha, and Naruto started picking up his pace, happy to be home. The other three just smiled as they continued their leisurely pace. Tsunade and Shizune followed Naruto to the Hospital, as Jiraiya went his own way, only to be stopped by Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura. She led them to the Hokage tower, before facing them.
"I see the mission was a success."
"yes, we ran into Orochimaru though. Naruto almost defeated his number one henchman, Kabuto Yakushi with the Rasengan, but due to his bloodline limit, he survived with little injury, while almost killing Naruto. If it weren't for Tsunade's medical knowledge, we'd have lost a very valuable ninja. He even mastered the rasengan by putting a bit of a spin on it, using a Kage Bunshin to help spin the Chakra."
Koharu nodded, while Homura was pensive.
"Very well. Welcome back, Senju Tsunade."
The next day, there was a crowd outside the hokage tower. every villager was present.
"It has been a few months since the death of Sarutobi Hiruzen, and a new Hokage has been found. The Godaime Hokage will be... Jiraiya!"
This left everyone floored, but none moreso than Jiraiya himself. he tried to protest, but everything had been finalized, so begrudgingly he accepted the hat. Slowly the group started to applaud their new Hokage.
