My Winter Love

Winter light amid a sea of snow,

My heart calls for you,

Winds of change continuously blow,

Inside I ache wishing to be close.

Ice clings in glassy tendrils to the trees

Twilight mists amoung the shadows

Splendor arises as I open my eyes and see,

Beauty surrounds my very soul.

Sweet surrender of perfect silence,

And every breath I take is for you,

My prince, you have my allegiance,

You whisper sweet nothings to my heart.

A winter solstice of memories of you,

I wish not to be parted from happiness,

But this is love; I would give my life for you,

In the arms of your love I will wait.

Forever if need shall arise,

Know that my heart is yours,

I cannot tell any such lies,

For you sweet love, I will wait.

This is a poem about Narnia and how she waits in the icy grip of the White Witch for Aslan to return.
