It was a normal day at Far, Far Away. Shrek was up cooking breakfast for Fiona and the kids. He was feeling good like nothing could go wrong. He smiled as he put a plate of pancakes dripped in hot mud with weed rat stew on the side. "Mmm! This tastes good!" Fiona said as she ate. Shrek saw Artie come in and slump at the table. He seemed angry about something.
"What's up? You know you can tell me anything." He said to him. Artie sighed as he drank some orange juice. "I… was just thinking about my Dad. I had a dream where he came back but he didn't hate me at all. He told me that… he loved me. Is something wrong with me?" he told him silently. Fiona felt sorry for Artie. He'd never known his father while she'd been with her father until she was sent away. "I don't think there's anything wrong with you because of that. You just miss him that's all. It's natural." She said. Shrek saw sadness in Artie's eyes. He was lost in thought.
"I feel bad for ya Artie. He may've been a jerk but he's your Dad. I know what it's like to have someone who hates you just because you're you." He thought as he went outside after Artie. But then he heard rock music. This worried him greatly. "Oh no! He... can't have found out where I am. It's like I'm being stalked by him where ever I go." he said worriedly. "What's wrong? Do you know what that noise is?" he asked him. Artie then followed him down stairs into the garden. There was a strange ogre wearing black clothes, black trousers, a black leather jacket and a black cape. He had white foundation over his face with black lipstick. He had messy black hair. He was playing an electric guitar. "Wow! Do you know him?" Artie asked Shrek. "There's no use hiding the truth because sooner or later they'll find out anyway." he thought. "He's... my father, okay? This is the man who made my child hood miserable." he told him. Artie then remembered what his friend had said about his father.
"This is the guy who tried to eat you when you were a child?" Artie said. "Yes. Just don't tell Fiona and the others about this okay? She wouldn't understand." Shrek said as he walked over to his father. He was feeling shaky and his stomach was in knots. "Umm... hey Dad. It's me Shrek, you know... your unwanted son." he said, fear quivering in his voice. Artie saw the stranger smile but there was a scowl in his eyes. "What're you doing here? I thought you were dead." he told his son. Artie saw sadness in his friend's eyes. "Hey are you okay? You look depressed. Is it because of him over there?" he told him. "Yeah. He thinks I'm dead. I don't wanna imagine what'll happen when he finds out I'm married and have a family." he explained. He watched as Shrek joined Fiona. She was curious about the strange ogre. "I can't tell ya, okay? You wouldn't understand. Let's just say he's my father." he told her as she nursed the triplets. She gasped at that. She'd always wanted to know what his parents were like but she saw the worry in his eyes. "Please let me meet him. I'm sure he's as wonderful as you are." she said but Shrek rolled his eyes at that. She then saw her husband's father in law burst in through the doors. "Woo hoo! Hey what's going on here?" he said to Fiona...
