A/N: Shh. It's been crazy the past two days. Just gonna get this out, then maybe do something else. I regret nothing.
Silence is the Key
Kichigai was never one for making great decisions. Often, she went through life, turning a blind eye to everyone, never wanting to believe a word anyone said. She knew the world was evil; that everyone would lie to her so she would trust them only to betray her later on down the line in life. Her personality, secretive but pure, often drew people towards her. Upon seeing their arrival, she hid herself away, never speaking to these people.
As the years went on and Kichigai grew older, she found herself making new friends. Armijo High School. Four friends she allowed into her life, and pledged to herself that she would give up her existence to protect them. And as she grew more attached to them, she found herself liking one of her male friends, Suku. Now, both Kichigai and Suku had things in common. Suku had also helped out the girl in the past, so he was already okay in her book.
But, as the feelings started to slowly emerge from Kichigai, the one she found as her brother, Ani, too found the feelings for the girl. Of course, he always flirted with her, so she never saw his feelings. Ani knew she liked Suku, and hated him for that. Luckily, he never saw the boy much, so that wasn't the case. The thing that got under his skin was knowing that Kichigai would never see him like she did Suku. He didn't like that.
Kichigai, unbeknownst to Ani, actually did have feelings for him as well. She liked people with nice personalities. But he already had a girlfriend. Even if it wasn't the happiest relationship he had, he was still with someone. So, she forced herself to get rid of those feelings. Besides, being with him would be weird, right? He was trustworthy, but he always looked at nearly every girl in sight. Why should she trust him, anyway?
So, as her friendship grew stronger with Suku, she confessed. He returned her feelings with a smile. And the next day, it was official. He had asked her to be his, and she happily accepted. Still not knowing Ani's feelings towards her, she had told her friend the news. Showing not as much happiness, she questioned him what was wrong. For two hours. Until she got a straight answer. And that answer was his own confession. She scolded him for never telling her in the past, but there was nothing she could do now. She wasn't going to hurt Suku.
Now it's the weekend, and Kichigai has planned to just take life easy. She plans on just going back to Armijo Monday, and act normally. No new boyfriend, no more confessions. Just a normal school day. Although, not everything can be as it seems...
