Okay starting my gift drabbles, the first one is for Aiko Isari! (Taiki/Ryouma). This is also written for the Diversity Challenge, XrosWars/Hunters, A52: drabble between 201-300 words.
Ryouma was incredibly lucky or Taiki lacking self-preservation had helped him a lot in becoming his friend. Nights had become rather lonely for Ryouma who had never really been able to get over the things he had done. But knowing and seeing the fact that Taiki had forgiven him helped him a lot.
Through the sleepless nights, Taiki would come over, sit besides him and talk to him. It felt amazing not to be alone considering Ryouma had felt a distance coming with his close friends Ren and Airu. Not that he blamed them for wanting to avoid him. Back then, he had just pushed Ren and Airu to the side. He had hurt them too and not everyone was as forgiving as Taiki. Still, his heart hurt to think the fact that things may never be the same between him and his two friends.
Before he could think too much of it at any time, Taiki would grab his hand.
"Give them time," was what he'd always say. "They can't stay mad at you forever. It'll only hurt them more."
Ryouma didn't always understand what Taiki tried to tell him but he knew one thing. Having Taiki around made him feel like a weight on his heart had been taken away. Half of the forgiveness he yearned for had been granted by Taiki alone. And now, he hoped it would always be this way. As long as one person had forgiven him, the others would follow soon. Even if he never deserved it.
