Author's Notes: Fourth instalment in the 'Cold' series. No more will be added until I get some reviews.

"Luna, have you found anything?" Hermione asked briskly, walking into the Department of Mysteries.

The pale girl shook her head, wispy hair flying everywhere. "We looked when he first disappeared, remember? What makes you think he's still around?"

"Because I know how much he cares about Gin." Hermione said stubbornly. She rubbed her arms, shivering. "Is it cold in here or is it just me?"

"Well it is the middle of winter." Luna pointed out. "But it's always cold down here. The Veil lets in a nice draft."

"Does it now?" Hermione said in her 'I'm humouring you' tone.

"Yes." Luna replied primly. "I was thinking, if Harry is still around he'd be wanting to check up on Ginny, correct?"

"Yes…" Hermione said hesitantly.

"And what is the best time to do magical subterfuge?" Luna prompted.

Hermione's eyes widened. "A full moon!" She said. "Of course! The full moon scrambles magic sensors and it's so hard to find out who's done spells when!" Her shoulders slumped a moment later. "But there's already been a full moon this month."

"Aren't we so lucky there's a blue moon next week." Luna said casually, going back to her paperwork.

"I'll go tell everyone." Hermione left the Department of Mysteries as abruptly as she'd arrived.

Luna shook her head, making a notation in the margin of the map sitting in front of her. "Hope you want to be found, Harry." She muttered, looking down at the small glowing dot that read 'Harry Potter'.

"Excuse me Miss Weasley?"

Ginevra winced. Every time she forgot someone had to remind her. Slowly, she turned around, smiling at the first year. "Yes, Miss Creevey?" She asked politely.

"I thought Hogwarts students were only allowed to have a cat, toad, or an owl as a familiar." Amelia Creevey's face was twisted up in confusion.

"They are, Miss Creevey."

"Then how come you have a dog?"

Ginevra's hand automatically sought out Charlie's furred back. The dog was growling at Amelia angrily, as if he could sense Ginevra's discomfort. "Because I'm not a student, Miss Creevey. Don't you have Potions right now?"

Amelia's blue eyes widened and she took off at a run.

Ginevra stared after her, thinking 'Harry and I could've had a kid like her. We could've been parents by now…if only I wasn't so hasty…'

Charlie licked Ginevra's hand, bringing her out of her bout of self-pity.

Ginevra chuckled. "At least I know you'll look after me, Charlie." She said fondly. "C'mon, I bet you need a walk."

"So what are you going to do?" Luna asked, munching her chicken and lettuce sandwich.

"What do you mean what am I going to do?" Hermione replied, frowning and taking the cheese out of her own sandwich then eating it.

"About Harry. Are you just going to wait and see when his magic shows up on the sensors?"

"That's what I was thinking of." Hermione ate one of her pieces of margarine and bread thoughtfully.

"You won't find him." Luna bit into her apple.

"What?" Hermione looked at the silver-eyed girl sharply. "Why?"

Luna rolled her eyes. "Because of the full moon…" she waited a full minute before she added "duh."

Hermione blushed. "Oops." She said sheepishly.

"Oops would be no good if I hadn't reminded you and you waited for Harry's magic to show up and there was none."

It was at that moment that all the Dark Magic Sensors in Hermione's office went off. The large map on the wall in front of the pair zoomed in on the afflicted area. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
