A sharp pain. That's the first thing I noticed. A sharp pain that shot straight up my spine and pierced my whole body as I fell backward. Of course, I was far too preoccupied with the pain slowly spreading through my torso to care much when my body hit the cold ground. As the life began to slowly pour out of me, my eyes travelled upward to find Andrew, watching my dying form with a blank and emotionless expression. The betrayal felt at that moment was almost as painful as the knife protruding from my stomach. He had stabbed me. I had thought he was my friend, but it turned out he was just using me. It seemed everybody did, though. Of course they would. I'm just Jonathan Levinson. The short, geeky nobody. Why should I matter? But even still... I had thought I had found a friend in Andrew, found someone who had actually liked me, despite what everyone else thought. But as my vision began fading to black, I realized how foolish I had been, and now I was paying for being gullible enough to trust Andrew. As my mind clouded over and I began to slip into nothingness, my last thought was that maybe I would finally be accepted in the afterlife.
