This is my first fanfic on Fire Emblem, though I've originally decided to write this long ago. I've written many stories featuring Fire Emblem Awakening, but none were good enough. Especially since those were greatly inspired from stories by other authors, for example, "Time Matters Not" from Gone2GroundEX, an amazing story. This time, I believe I've set a great story with my own ideas and such.

Disclaimer: I do not own Fire Emblem nor do I intend to.

That being said, please enjoy.

"Stand back, Robin. I'll finish him!"

Grima's avatar, suffering from various deep wounds, was surrounded by four brave heroes, one with bright white hair and the other three with dark, azure hair bearing the mark of the Exalt, a symbol of Ylisse's royalty.

Ignoring his lord's words, the tactician dashed towards the Fell Dragon.

"Grima, everything you have done is also my responsibility, for we share the same blood and body. Let us die together, for we may both be forgiven!" Robin said in a rather calm voice.

At that moment, a tear formed beneath Grima's left eye and a similar voice resonated from his body. "May you live a wonderful life full of joy, hope and love, Chrom. Please forgive me f-for everything."

Then he faced Robin.

"I am ready." He said. "Do what you must."

"Priestess of dawn, lend me your power one last time." Robin prayed as he chanted a powerful spell in his mind and shouted: "THANI!"

A blinding orb of light appeared in the sky and crashed into Grima.

"Damn you!" Grima's own voice sounded, before he fell, distorting in the shadows.

On the other hand, Robin stood still, his body slowly fading.

He smiled.

"Chrom, Lucina, everyone, know that I loved you…"

"ROBIN, NO!" Chrom cried in distress.

"Why? Why are you dying on me?" Lucina shouted as tears flowed freely on her face.

Robin bowed and smiled once again.

"May we meet again…in a better world."

Those were his last words.

The war against Grima ended in a sad mood, when all should feel happiness and joy. Why? That was because the Shepherds lost someone important to their heart, someone who died before his time…or so they thought. This person has given his life to save them and all felt guilty for "causing" his death. Each Shepherd expressed their sorrow in different ways, hoping that he shall come back to them one day.

I hope you enjoyed this short prologue that would eventually lead to a longer story. Please follow, favorite, but most of all, review. I would like to know what you, dear readers, expect for the following chapters. By the way, the romantic part will come much later. My eternal gratitude for reading this story.
