The High Warlock of Brooklyn scanned the foggy club, looking for Something, anything, interesting. His routine trips to clubs and parties had grown old long before he'd realized he never liked them in the first place. What he liked was attention, attention from important people.

Tonight though, he was waiting for someone to approach him, probably with a problem. He'd help them out, get payed and move on. It was all that was on his mind until a striking pair of eyes flashed through a mob of dancing people.

Could it be?

No, but it had to be. No one else had eyes that blue.

He pushed through the crowd, tripping on someones impractical floor length gown.

Cheap, Magnus sneered under his breath.

Once he'd escaped the tight, sweaty cluster of Downworlders he pushed off his red jacket. He seemed to be the only one not dancing at that moment, and the eyes had vanished.

Magnus ran a finger under his left eye, just to be certain no glitter had run down his face.

He sighed, more disappointed than he'd ever truly admit. A few song lyrics came to mind. "Always the same, I think you're here but you never came."

"Don't you look like the life of the party."

Magnus turned around to meet the same eyes he'd been looking for.

"Alec Lightwood." He smirked. "I didn't take you for an avid nightclubber."

"I'm here on business, not pleasure." He said, almost sternly.

But Magnus didn't mind Alec's condescending tone, he savored it. He'd been missing those narrowed eyes for a while. Smothered in that all too familiar kind of superiority.

"Why is it you Shadowhunters seem to think those two can't mix?" He winked.

Alec shifted, knowing exactly what was on both their minds. He was too preoccupied to act on it himself though. "I'm looking for a-"

"Let me guess." Magnus inched closer to the boy, causing him to back up accordingly. "You're here to fight a demon, because it's your, what?"

"It's my job."

"Go on break." Magnus pushed Alec backwards, his back hitting the wall.

"Magnus-"

The warlock laughed pressing himself closer to Alec.

He bit the younger boy's lip, who in turn responded very positively.

Alec pulled away a second later, looking around the room.

"Don't flatter yourself." Magnus breathed in his ear. "No one is looking at you."

"That's not what I'm-"

But he was silenced yet a again, by another kiss. A softer one this time. Magnus ran his hands through Alec's hair, drawing intricate circles with his fingers. Pretending he was leaving secret runes on his body, he dived downwards, running his hands over the Shadowhunter's stomach.

"Excuse me."

They broke apart as Jace made his way up to them. The blonde boy had a smug grin on his face. "If I could get Alec to loosen up like that, he'd be a lot more fun while hunting."

Magnus laughed. "You most certainly could, it doesn't take much."

Jace seemed to choke on whatever it was he was planning to say next, causing Magnus to smirk with pride.

Alec blushed deeply. "We should get back to what we were doing, there's no demon here."

"I already took care of it." Jace said. Turning on his heel, he spoke over his shoulder. "You two have fun." He shouted over the music.
