She doesn't expect to fall for a Weasley. Him, least of all. Perhaps it was the fact that they were stuck together working in the same Department of the Ministry for long hours that made her fall. Or perhaps it was his eyes.

They are a soft, calm sky blue when he is happy, focussed. The side of him that she sees most often at work. He loves what he does, even if it means a large amount of paperwork and meetings. He likes the power, but he is careful not to get drunk on it, to forget who is he is behind it.

She, on the other hand, had joined the Ministry because she had essentially been forced to. Her family had enough of a reputation as it was, so they needed her to work somewhere prestigious enough that people would forget at least part of what the Parkinsons has contributed to the war. Much to her surprise, she found herself actually liking the work she did. She now wonders if part of it had been because of his zeal for what he did.

They are a dark, gloomy midnight blue when he is sad. She sees it for the first time that night when they are both working late, and the contrast of his demeanour with his usual one surprises her, and she cannot help asking what is wrong, even as she hopes he will not be angry at her for doing so.

He tells her everything, that night, both their usually busy quills cast aside. He tels her what happened during the war, how he defied his family, and how even fighting beside them didn't make it right again. She is utterly taken aback at all of it.

It is the night she learns that he does not have the life she thought he has. It is the night they both learn each other's deepest secrets.

They are a raging, furious ocean blue when he is really and truly angry.

She has never seen him like this before, until the day her family decides to question her for choosing him over the numerous witches and wizards who she could have. She knew it was coming, but it comes too soon for comfort. She knows what the Wizarding World still thinks of her. She knows that the society will not give her a second chance. But the fact that he did, gives her hope. Her parents, however, have not changed, and she now doubts they ever will.

She has never heard him scream so loud or defend anything so vehemently as he does for her that day. In the end, however, it is she who calms him down and reminds him of everything they have discussed, everything they have, and how nothing can take that away from them.

As he smiles in response, she looks into his eyes.
