Voyager Night Before Christmas

Voyager Night Before Christmas

Disclaimer....Voyager and those who fly her are not mine. I wished for it for christmas last year, but Santa said I had been a bad girl.

'Twas the night before christmas, and all through the ship
Only the night crew was stirring, the ones with small pips.
The reports were all posted in the computer with care,
In the hopes that in the morning everyone would still be there.
The captain was nestled all snug in her bed,
While visions of the commander danced in her head.
And B'Elanna in her 'kerchief and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for an overdue nap.
When out in the hallway there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the doorway I flew like a flash,
Without any boxers, in just my robe and my sash.
The light on the deck of the hallway that night,
Gave proof to my thoughts that things weren't quite right.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh in need of reindeer.
With a man in the seat so strong and so tall
I knew in a moment he would give call to us all.
More rapid than eagles his orders they came
And he whistled and shouted and called us by name.
Now Paris, now Torres, now Seven and Tuvok,
On Wildman, on Neelix, on Kim and on Doc.
To the captain cabin, make a right at that wall
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all.
As the dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they met at her cabin on that ship in the sky.
So into the cabin their courses they flew,
And we all went back to ours knowing what they would do.
But as we went off to our cabins for good,
We did something that we knew we should.
We posted a message to the captain that night,
Congratulations, Merry Christmas, and to us all a great flight.
