Lucas sighed as he woke up, feeling the long arm that was draped across his chest move slightly. It had been 3 months since he and Tim had become lovers. They had always been friends, growing closer after being abducted to Hyperion to fight a war that wasn't even theirs to begin with. They had started out with nights of long talks and shared embraces. Then the embraces had been friend holding friend. They had both lost so many friends, not to mention 10 yrs of their lives. Lucas had always thought Tim was cute. Tim on the other hand thought of himself as a geek. Lucas knew geeks, they looked nothing Tim. Heck, some of them even scared Lucas when he saw them. They definitely didnt have Tim's personality. It was a proven fact that most computer geeks were manic-depressives. Tim did have his ups and downs, but he was normally very balanced. Tim was a worrier, often more concerned about others than himself. He had many times saved Lucas's life. Lucas liked the fact that Tim worried about him. That was more than most people, including his parents thought of him.
The crew of the SeaQuest had shown him that people can love you, even if you have faults. Nathan was like the father that Lucas had never had. Ben had been his older brother that while sometimes getting in trouble, never failed to make him laugh. Migs and Tim had been his best friends. Jonathan and Katie had been military, however they showed him professionalism. They had different personalities than Migs and Tim, but they were always there when he needed a friend. Kristen was like the mother he had never had. She and Nathan would have made a great couple, but that hadn't worked out. There was hope still though, they were talking again.
Lucas's thoughts turned back to the chestnut head beqide his. Tim was blissfully asleep. His hand twitching occasionally while he dreamed. Lucas loved to watch Tim sleep. He looked so peaceful, sometimes Tim would even talk in his sleep. Tim knew 6 languages fluently. He would sometimes speak in all 6 during one night. Lucas only knew 3 languages, English, French and Spanish. Migs had taught him Spanish during their 1st tour. Now Tim was teaching him German. Lucas loved it when Tim would quiz him on what he had taught him. They normally ended teaching eaah other things besides German. Lucas gently ran his hands through Tim's hair as he remembered some of their lessons. In response to Lucas's touch, Tim snuggled closer, settling himself more on Lucas, until he was laying partially on him. Lucas merely kissed Tim's forehead, feeling the smooth softness of Tim's skin, and said "I love you Tim." He gently relaxed, letting sleep reclaim him. His last thoughts before he fell asleep were that this was the happiest he'd ever been.
