Summary: Tadashi goes into the flame and wakes up in a body that looks like his own but entirely machine. It turns out he was in a robot that Hiro made three years into the future. Can he convince Hiro and the others of who he is while battling his Programming?
I do not own Big Hero 6.
Enjoy!
First, the fire came and then there was nothing.
Tadashi had ran into that fire; his heart was too big to see somebody who clearly needed help and ignore them.
It was his best quality and the quality that led him into that fire.
After nothing but Darkness, he finally heard somebody.
"System online."
It was a machines voice.
Suddenly Tadashi environment light up, and he was shocked to see he was in some kind of motherboard.
And then the wires came.
They latched onto every part of him, and one wire shoved itself into the back of his head.
It would have rewritten him if not for the fact he was a human soul.
Instead, knowledge flocked to his mind, knowledge about himself.
What the?
He saw a clip of Hiro holding a sign.
"Okay, this is test number one," said, Hiro, behind him was Baymax.
"Hiro...my senses indicate that this is not healthy, Hiro" Said, Baymax. "The best way to deal with loss is through friends and family."
Hiro ignored the robot and said. "Let's turn you on."
Suddenly there was a blast of high pitched noise, and Hiro covered his ears instantly.
"What was that!?" Shouted Aunt Cass from above.
"Ur... my next project!" Said, Hiro panicking before saying. "Your chip clearly needs a lot more work."
?
Tadashi saw countless experiments, but when the thing Hiro was talking to managed to conjure a voice, he was filled with shock.
"Hello, Hiro" the voice wasn't quiet there, but Tadashi could tell it was meant to be his voice.
"You spoke!" Hiro said, looking two years older. "The voice isn't quiet there yet but can you raise your hand?"
Silence.
"...Oh" Hiro said, seeing him not fully comprehending it.
"Hiro...are you making a Robot version of me?" Tadashi said, why would Hiro feel the need to?
But then he was hit with the next data, it was what happened to him that was driving Hiro to create a Robot himself.
The news was devastating.
He had died in that fire, and the grief had drove Hiro to try reviving him through his own hands.
By making a machine.
But no matter how close the machine resembles the real thing, he will never be the original.
And Tadashi was stuck in that machine that Hiro had created.
He tried to move, but the wires were holding him stiff.
When he was finished being fed the information, he received the ability to hear the outside world.
"I think this is the chip that will get you full funactional," said, a deeper voice than he remembered.
He heard footsteps and felt his chest being opened, something cold slid into his chest.
The final piece needed.
"Tadashi..." Hiro's voice said, begging him to come online and work, properly.
When that chip went in, he felt himself connect to the eyes.
He opened them slowly feeling slightly heaviness as he did so.
There was so much he wanted to say, he wanted to apologise for going in and causing him grief, but instead, he said.
"Good morning, Hiro."
What?
He got his answer in the form of data; it was a rule that Hiro had imported into the chip.
'Do not cause Hiro Hamada, emotional pain.'
What?
Something was removed from his back, unfortunately, it wasn't the wires.
"Come forward," Hiro said.
Tadashi felt himself obeying orders and used his unusually light body to move his feet one at a time.
Although he was naked and in the garage, he didn't feel any coldness, but he could tell it was cold.
His scanners told him, Hiro was dressed warming enough for the weather.
"State your purpose," said, Hiro.
"To make my little brother happy," He said.
Damn it!
"HIRO! IM IN HERE!" Shouted, Tadashi on the inside but on the outside, his mouth was shut.
On the outside, he was smiling a very Tadashi like smile.
"You work!" Hiro said, dancing.
Tadashi on the inside bowed his head.
Oh, Hiro...
"Finally, I can stop moving you every time; I go to the lab" Said, Hiro.
But then he noticed him naked, the detail was a good idea at first because he wanted him to look like Tadashi, but now he wasn't so sure.
"I'll be back with clothes," Hiro said, he walked out and came back with clothes that Aunt Cass thought she had cleaned out when she took all of Tadashi stuff from the bedroom.
He gave him a blue shirt, green briefs, brown pants and green shoes.
What Tadashi couldn't help but notice is that Hiro did not give him his hat back.
"Let's me show you to Aunt Cass. I can introduce you are my newest project" he said.
Hiro, how much are you hurting? Tadashi thought.
The woman was going to freak out.
And he had been right.
The moment a clearly slightly aged Aunt Cass with shorter hair saw him, she screamed.
Hiro waited for her to calm down, and so did Tadashi.
Aunt Cass blinked and blinked again.
He was still there.
"T-Tadashi?" She said as if she was seeing a Ghost.
"Hello, Aunt Cass," he said, startling her and smiling that Tadashi Smile.
Hiro really went all out with the slight detail of emotion on his face.
But before Aunt Cass could cry, Hiro shattered her world.
"Aunt Cass, meet Tadashi, my very first humanoid robot," He said.
Her mind latched onto the words 'Humanoid Robot' instantly.
Her eyes widen several notches.
"I am Tadashi. An existence created with the purpose of Hiro happiness" Tadashi said while inner Tadashi wanted to bang his head.
Aunt Cass stared.
Tadashi stared back.
Any normal person would get the nearest makeshift weapon and attempt to destroy him immediately.
And here the woman thought Hiro was getting better.
Extreme sadness soon entered her eyes when she saw him, but it was quickly gone, so Hiro didn't see.
"Tadashi, you haven't be introduced to Baymax, yet," said, Hiro as Tadashi followed him up stairs where Baymax was patting the family cat.
Tadashi couldn't help but notice how empty and completely devoid of life his side of the room was.
Hiro should have had the single room to himself, but he refuse to let Aunt Cass haul the bed away.
"Detecting another robot," Baymax said turning to them.
"Hello, Baymax. I am Tadashi" Tadashi said.
"Hello, Tadashi. I am Baymax" Baymax said, without saying the rest, he was only a health care nurse to humans.
"Great, it seems you two have hit it off," said, Hiro. "You can be brothers or something."
And Tadashi could bet 50 bucks that Aunt Cass was calling Hiro friends right now and maybe even booking an appointment with a Therapist.
"Would you like to stroke, Mochi?" said, Baymax.
And inner Tadashi was very surprised to find out he could bend down with freewill and stroke the cat.
He was trying to figure this coding out, and if he could that, he could find a way to break free from it.
The cat hissed when he got close enough, it could tell he wasn't really Tadashi.
Hiro did not program Tadashi stroking ability into him, and his eyes did not show a proper soul.
"He does not seem to like me," said, Tadashi.
Mochi ran out of Baymax arms and out of the room.
"I'll get go after Mochi." Said, Hiro since he had nothing better to do.
Hiro leaving him with Baymax who had learned well from Humans was a mistake.
"That's odd. Perhaps if you had a more traditional look than he'll warm up to you" said, Baymax.
Even Baymax agreed that he should look like a regular robot not look so human-like.
"I was modelled this way because it makes Hiro the happiest" Tadashi was forced to say.
"Happiest? Do you have your own concept of happiness? I am happy" Baymax said.
And inner Tadashi felt the wires holding him down get tighter as if the very question could bring out his true self.
"I bring Happiness to Hiro. I do not think beyond that" he said, his voice was a lot more mentioned.
"Hiro, says everybody deserves to make their own choices and be happy even somebody who is created to help people," said, Baymax.
The wires got tighter.
The more Baymax tried to spark individuality within him, the tighter the wires got.
"Hiro, said that?" Tadashi said, he was programmed to listen to Hiro every word but what if it clashed with a rule in the programming?
Suddenly Hiro appeared without the cat and said. "Tadashi, come downstairs. I want you to meet my friends."
"I would be happy to meet your friends Hiro," Tadashi said as the wires finally stopped trying to rip inner Tadashi to shreds.
Baymax just continued sitting, while wondering if there may be a bug in his programming.
When Tadashi came down and saw four adults standing in the kitchen, his eyes were free to roam them.
Wasabi had a beard and a wedding ring.
Honey Lemon no long hid behind a hairband.
Go Go Tango, seemed to have grown her hair out to look more feminine.
And aside from Fred moustache, he looked the same.
When they saw him each one was shocked.
And Appalled.
To see him.
"Everybody this Tadashi. My humanoid robot" said, Hiro.
"Nice to meet you, everybody," Tadashi said, startling them all. "Hiro has told me so much about each of you."
Every single of them stared, when they heard from Aunt Cass that Hiro had apparently made a freakishly lifelike version of Tadashi, a part of them did not want to believe it.
Now they were forced to believe it, even down to his voice.
"Creepy..." Fred said the first to touch him.
And touch him did the man do.
He pulled on his ears, touched his face, pulled his hair.
He was assaulting him.
"Come try this," said, Fred. "This feels so lifelike."
And the other adults did.
"Really Guys?" Inner Tadashi said, if he could, he would shake them all off but unfortunately the body was in 'Introducing me to his friends makes Hiro happy mode'.
"How did you make the hair?" Said, Honey Lemon.
"I brought a real person hair," Hiro said, surprising them all.
To think he would put such detail into making this.
"And the fingerprints on the fingers?" Said, Go Go.
"I printed some designs," said, Hiro.
And then Aunt Cass came in with Cookies.
"Who wants Cookies?" She said.
Everybody did, and Tadashi went with it, but he did not pick a single cookie up despite Inner Tadashi wanting to shove it down.
It was very awkward having him there and just watching them eat.
Suddenly he said. "Hiro, I am obliged to tell you that I have 4 hours of battery life left."
His suddenly none human confession was met with dead silence.
"Already?" Hiro said. "You should have at least 8 hours left. Maybe I underestimated the energy needed to be online for this long."
Everybody looked with wide eyes, Hiro wasn't talking to him like he would to Tadashi.
Perhaps, they had jumped the gun too quickly, and he really was a project?
But wasn't the Tadashi Hamada hall enough for Hiro?
"Well, you can go back to your charging pad and plug yourself back in. I want to run some test on you tomorrow" Hiro said.
Tadashi got up obediently and began to make his way to the basement.
Hiro couldn't quiet hid the longing in his gaze.
"Hiro, I think you should come with me to shop in a few days time" said, Aunt Cass.
Hiro was confused.
Everybody but Hiro know what 'shop' really meant, right now.
And scene!
