Chapter One- "The Golden Boy"
The Village of Imil
Sir Isaac's Manor
Isaac awakens to the morning sun brightly glowing through his bedroom window.
He had spent restless nights in countless inns crowded with numerous foreign travelers. Isaac sat up in his bed and ran his hand through his golden blonde hair thinking about his wife, Mia. Mia lay asleep next to Isaac when she felt the warmth of his hands on her face. "Mia?" Isaac whispered in her ear. Mia opened her beautiful ocean blue eyes to match her husband Isaac's. "What is it, darling?" Mia yawned.
Mia sat up in the bed and gave Isaac a tender look. "Do you think we should move from Imil?" Isaac smiled. "Why do you think we should move?" Mia questioned. "Well.... Uh...because it's very cold here...and." Isaac paused in the middle of his statement. "Oh...I see..." Mia sighed. "You miss your mother in Vale don't you?" Mia smiled. Isaac gave a sigh of relief at Mia's reaction. "Yes...she doesn't even know we're married.... and I miss her a lot." Mia nestles up against Isaac and gives him a tender kiss and the lips. "Well.... It's all right with me Isaac" Mia smiled getting out of bed. "Just make sure you tell her about our little bundle of joy too." Isaac turned in shock nearly falling out of bed. "What!" Isaac yelled.
Isaac quickly ran into the kitchen where his wife was preparing breakfast. "Mia? Are you sincere about what you said a while ago?" Isaac asked. "Of course Isaac, why wouldn't I be?" Mia said happily kissing a startled Isaac. Isaac sat down staring at Mia. "What's wrong Isaac?" Mia said smiling. "Um...Nothing its...just you are.... expecting. "Yes, aren't you happy?" Mia smiled. "Yes, I am glad" Isaac said. "I'm just wondering how I'm going to explain to mother." "I'll start packing as soon as your ready to leave." Mia's radiant smile seem to light up the room as she gave Isaac his breakfast. "Lady Mia?" One of the maidservants whispered. "Yes, What is it?" Mia stated. "Are leaving Imil?" the maidservant said nearly coming to tears. "I must go....to Vale with Isaac" Mia smiled.
