Chapter 1
Alissa was at school walking out of her Algebra 1 class when she felt her phone buzz. This buzz was a serious issue for her because her phones usually perfect position in her back pocket also meant that literally any teacher could see that her phone was on during school. This infliction could merit consequences ranging from a phone call to a week of detention. She quickly stepped into a light jog towards the drinking fountain careful not to seem alarmed. She began to slowly sip from the fountain carefully pressing the button on the side of her phone till she felt it was off. Then, she hurried to her German 1 class, the teacher Mr. Ezell was super strict about punctuality and being responsible. She slumped into her seat and pulled out her notebook taking quick glances at the phrases being tested today. She was wondering who had been calling her everyone she knew was aware that she would be in school around this time.
