"Man of Iron!" Thor bellowed loudly as the Bifrost disappeared around him and left him standing on the front lawn of SHIELD's HQ. "Tony Stark!" Thor glanced around and walked forward, clucking his tongue and the item he had brought with him moved forward. Could he bring a horse into the building? Thor didn't know but decided to do it anyway. The horse followed calmly through the door, ears pricked forward excitedly.
"Ah! Clint Barton!" Thor said when he spotted Hawkeye crossing the corridor in front of him.
"Thor? What is a horse doing here?" Clint asked, slinging his bow over his shoulder and walking towards the odd pair.
"I'm looking for Tony Stark," Thor said, adjusting his grip on the horse's lead rope.
"I'll get him for you, but this guy can't be in here." Clint patted the horse on the shoulder. "Fine animal though. What's his name?"
Thor told him, and Clint laughed. "Tony's not going to like that," he said. "But I'll go get him. Take the horse outside."
"Of course," Thor said and turned on his heel and lead the horse out the door. He went back and stood in the Bifrost circle, waiting for the Man of Iron. Steve Rogers drove up on his motorcycle, and the horse spooked a little. "Easy, boy," Thor murmured, stroking his neck.
"Thor?" Steve tugged off his sunglasses and put them in his jacket. "Why do you have a horse on the front lawn?"
"Merely a gift," Thor replied, looping his hand through the horse's halter as he tried to shy from the motorbike.
"For who?"
"Tony Stark."
"What does Tony need with a horse?" Steve asked. Thor just shrugged and scratched the horse's nose.
"What's his name?" Steve asked as he approached the horse and offered a hand for him to sniff. Thor told him with a smirk on his face and Steve laughed. "I'd love to see Tony's reaction," Steve said through a chuckle.
"Then, by all means, stay. Clint was going to get him for me."
"Thor?" Someone suddenly called and Thor turned towards the voice.
"Tony Stark!" he boomed. "I have a gift for you!"
"Why do you have a horse?" Tony asked.
"He is for you!"
"Um, thanks?" Tony surveyed the horse. He was the biggest he had ever seen, at least 17 hands. He was a shiny brown with a thin white stripe that ran from his forehead down to his nose.
"Do you like him?" Thor asked, shoving the leadline into Tony's shocked hand.
"Of course," Tony replied. "I just don't know what to do with him."
"He is a companion! Show him to Pepper!" Thor said.
"What's his name?" Tony inquired, moving a hand up to rub the horse's forehead.
"Timur," Thor replied, smiling a little.
"That's strange," Tony said. "Is it Asgardian?"
"Yes," Thor said with a nod.
"What does it mean?" Tony asked. Steve muffled a giggle behind a cough.
"Ironman," Thor replied, and with that, he was gone.
"What?" Tony sputtered as Steve busted out laughing.
"It's true!" Steve laughed, clutching his stomach as Tony watched him, flabbergasted. "I wouldn't be surprised if you made a suit of armor for him!" And then Steve went inside, leaving a gobsmacked Tony on the front lawn with a giant horse who was slowly eating the grass.
