AN: Hey everybody! This is my first ever fanfic for this fandom, I am new to it, but I really love Hunter and Yael. So I decided to write some lines to celebrate my love for them! If you have any thoughts I would be happy to hear them!

XOXO

Does it count?

He asked her out. Well, he didn't specifically say that it was a date, but it had to be right?

The red head paced in her room, her heart beat like crazy and the butterflies in her stomach threw a party when she just thought of his handsome features and his easy smile. He had to be serious… right?

Otherwise he would have mentioned Vijay and Baaz, right?

If it wasn't a proper date, he would have mentioned them… He asked her to the Snowball. She still couldn't wrap her head around it. The Hunter Hollingsworth, gamer extraordinaire and, she had to admit, one of the hottest guys she ever laid eyes on. I mean, honestly, he was smoking…

Therefore, it would be ridiculous if he would ask her out for real… He probably meant, they'd go as friends. Having a great time, spending some quality friend time with each other.

Her thoughts were interrupted when her mother entered her room. Her face was telling her enough. She was angry.

"For the sake of god, please tell me that you had nothing to do with this!" Her mother said and hold a paper in her fist. Yael could see the schools emblem on the top. Her cheeks reddened, and she stared at her feet, unable to say anything.

"It is true then? You are responsible for bullying this poor girl? I raised you better than that!" Her mother continued. Disappointment was written all over her features.

"I am really sorry, okay? I really am! I even apologized to Maya! It wasn't my intention! I couldn't know that it would escalate like that!" Yael said and getting desperate. Tears leaked out of her eyes and run down her cheeks.

"How could you Yael?" Her mother said and shook her head. Yael's heart ached, and she began to sob.

"I am so so sorry!" She cried, her head hung low. Suddenly she was engulfed in a motherly hug. She clung to her mother, sobbing into her.

"Please, never do something like that again. I know you are better than that." Her mother whispered in her ear and Yael nodded frantically.

"Never again, I promise!"

"But I hope you will understand that I still have to ground you."

Yael nodded, "Of course."

"The school said you will have to help at the dance tonight, is that true?"

Yael nodded again, "It is part of our punishment. 30 or so hours community service. I will be helping to give out beverages and stuff like that." She mumbled.

"Well, not being able to go to the ball and enjoy your evening is a real good punishment, I guess. You are lucky, if the school wouldn't give you this task, I wouldn't have let you go there." Her mother gave her, her special icy glare and stood up. After patting Yael's head, she left the room again.

With a huge, relieving sigh, she fell down the bed again. She stared at the ceiling. Her cheeks were still wet from the tears and her nose was running. But her head wandered off again. Even though she was grounded and everything, she was still happy. Hunter asked her out. If he meant it to be a date or not, he intended to spend time with her at the ball. That counted for something, right?

For her it did.
