Miley Cyrus is a young artist who's still growing up in Crowne Heights, Brooklyn. She's 16-years-old, and isn't exposed to much. She lives with her mother, Tish, and she tells her everything. But, when Tish gets remarried, Miley's whole life changes.
"Mom, Frank, he-he touched me," Miley said, tears threatening to fall from her crystal blue orbs.
Tish looks at her daughter like she's crazy. "Shut up, you stupid, Bitch," she tells her, venom evident in her voice.
Miley's used to being confronted by "hoodlems" on the street, she knows they think she's "hot", but she's not so sure herself. But, now that she has no one to convide in, she actually starts to listen to what they tell her.
Miley wraps her sweater tightly around her torso, knowing she was showing a wee bit too much cleavage. She's walking through a group of men-well, no, boys-who are all sizing her up. "Aye, shawty, when you gun' let me hit that?" one of them asks, hinting to things that used to give her goose bumps. She recongized these guys, they went to her high school. She actually used to be friends with one of them, but he's changed over the years.
She smiles flirtaciously at the one who spoke, and says, "When I don't need to get home. I'll give you a call one night. When I'm alone," she tells him with a wink, and continues walking, attempting to swing her hips as she listens to them whistle.
But, finally, she becomes serious with one of them. His name is Nick, Nick Jonas, Miley's old friend Joe's brother. He's a few years older then her, and works at a tattoo parlor. So, obviously her mother and step-father don't approve, but she doesn't let that stop her.
"Nick! Wait!" she calls after the retreating head of curls out of her apartment, chasing him until he listens.
Nick spins around and she can tell he's trying to get a grip. "No, Miley. They're right. You don't belong with someone like me. I'm bad for you."
Miley steps closer to him, taking deep breaths, and places her hands on his chest. "Nick, they're wrong. You're wrong. I love you. I don't care about your past in the slightest."
Will Miley be able to convince her "parents" that Nick is the one for her? And will Tish ever see reason and stop Frank?
