Jirou had completed his night-time routine: brush teeth, hit the lights, fluff the pillow, and cuddle up to - in this case - the other person in the bed with you, Atobe Keigo.

He was about to fall asleep, as was the now lazy Atobe, until he shot up, remembering one part of his routine that he had forgotten.

"Na, Jirou, what's wrong?" groaned Atobe, annoyed at his boyfriend's random and violent awakening.

"I forgot to do something," he replied. Then he continued, "Buzz, buzz, buzz."

Atobe leaned on his elbow, staring down at his boyfriend as the blonde lay curled into himself, eyes closed as usual.

"Jirou..."

"Atobe?"

"Why did you just 'buzz'?"

"So the boogeyman won't come," Jirou replied dully, as though it was obvious. "If you buzz, the boogeyman will think you're an elephant with wings," he explained when Atobe's eyes widened ever so slightly in the darkness of the room. "Atobe should buzz, too."

Jirou lied his head back down, prepared to sleep through the staring.

Atobe stuttered, about to ask what had made Jirou believe such a foolish thing, when he decided for his sanity's sake he shouldn't. Instead, he lied back down and held his boyfriend.

"No more buzzing. I'll protect you from the boogeyman."

Jirou snuggled closer, the darkness hiding his smile.

A.N.: Okay, CRACKISH. I was watching Jeepers Creepers, and they played a song through the credits that said that. My first thought: "This is stupid, what was this man on?" My second thought: "Aw, I wonder if Jirou ever had nightmares about the boogeyman?" And this came. Don't blame me–I'm recovering from a drunken weekend and it's 2:12AM.
