A PUPPET NO MORE     by Kristin

I was the puppet

She the puppeteer

She held my strings

Which no one could see

A puppet no more

My stage was the planet

The backdrop was set

The play had begun

Destruction was the theme

A puppet no more

She played her song

I danced to her beat

The rhythm was death

I danced in blood

A puppet no more

But another then entered

He played his own song

His rhythm was vengeance

My blood his goal

A puppet no more

We danced to a new beat

Hatred guided our feet

The rhythm was swords clashing

Sparks lit up the night

A puppet no more

But fate was not on my side

With one last thrust

He severed my ties

The world darkened around me

A puppet no more

My life has ended

I leave this world

My strings are cut

The darkness embraces me

I am a puppet…no more
