I don't own anything. Words are to I'm Yours by Jason Mraz.

"Chloe, you can not leave me stranded here like this." Lois demanded, waving her arms around.

"You're my cousin, for crying out loud. You are supposed to help out your family when they are in trouble." Lois hoped playing the family card would at least guilt Chloe into helping if nothing else.

"You're not in any type of danger, Lois. If you were then you know that I would be the first one there." Chloe said while backing towards the door. "But, I can't now. I have to go." As Chloe reached the Talon's door it swung open revealing Clark. "But, Clark will be happy to help." She gave him a knowing smile, quickly exiting behind him before Lois could say anything else.

"So, what can I help you with, Lois?" He asked with a bit of a smirk at the annoyed look on her face.

Lois gave a disgusted humph. "Since, my wonderful cousin has abandoned me," she yelled at the door, even though she knew Chloe couldn't hear her "My car has died and everything around here has closed up for the night and I don't have any clothes here to spend the night and I don't want to be late for work." Lois took a breath as she finished her rant.

"Do you need a ride?" Clark asked trying to hide a smile and not doing a very good job at it.

"I am not some damsel in distress that needs to be rescued, Clark" She said crossing her arms across her chest.

"Don't worry, Lois" Clark retorted. "I would never think of you that way."

"Good" Lois nodded her head. "Now, that we have that settled. If you insist, then yes I could use a ride."

Well, you've done done me and you bet that I felt it

I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted

I fell right through the cracks but I am trying to get back

Lois whipped her hand over, flipping off the radio as treacherous thoughts of her and Clark dancing began to fill her mind. "It's bad enough that I have to ride in the truck with you for three hours without having to listen to your music." She hoped that her lie had worked and he couldn't read what was really going on inside her.

"Lois, I don't mess with your radio when I'm in the car with you," he said matter-of-factly, without a hint of aggravation. "Besides, I like the song." He flipped the radio back on.

So, I won't hesitate no more, no more

It cannot wait I'm sure

There is no need to complicate, our time is short

This is our fate, I'm yours

Lois squirmed in her seat. The treacherous thoughts returned. Images of her and Clark dancing played like a movie reel in her head. Stop it, Lois. Don't you remember how the dance ended? You don't want to get your hopes up, just to have your heart trampled on again. Lois took a breath trying to regain her composure, but the movie began to play once again. He was looking at her, only at her. Lois shook her head slightly to try and break herself out of the daydream. There was no sense thinking like that.

She made a fatal mistake. She looked over at him, and saw that he was looking over at her with a concerned expression. That was so typical of him to be concerned. She saw those eyes. Damn those eyes. She felt her will weakening she was being drawn in by those eyes.

Scooch on over closer dear

Unconsciously, Lois moved ever so closer to him. The night, the music, and those eyes all seemed to draw her to his side. She was so close to him now that she could feel his warmth. Neither said a word, as a smile crossed Clark's face, she reciprocated with one of her own.

Look in your heart and you'll find the sky is yours.

This is our fate

I'm Yours
