The Horror at the Mall
Cindy wailed. "Daadddd…. Do we have to!?" She asked.
Her father took a female hand in his, insuring that there would be no escape. "Yes, Cindy and now do what you're told."
"But-"
"No-Buts."
"Look, we really don't have to do this, Drew." Shego said.
"Oh no, not after what happened last time." Drakken said, unaccustomed iron in his voice. "This time, we do it my way."
"But-" He cut both voices off. "No buts." Drakken said, looking at his wife and ten year old daughter.
Soon, they were at the Middleton Mall. Drakken had not relinquished the hand he'd grabbed since they'd left the car, and Cindy hadn't had a chance to get free… or at least get free while looking like it was an accident. She tensed.
"Daaaaddddd…." Cindy whined as she saw the cheery sign: MIDDLETON MALL DENTAL CLINIC.
"Now sit down, Cindy." Drakken said, and tightened his grip. Looking at the three the receptionist called back into the office, and soon the blonde dentist came walking out.
Kim's old cheerleading friend Tara.
And the only one to truly be a villain. Cindy thought, She actually wanted to become a dentist.
"Hello!" Tara said perkily, "I'm hoping we won't have any little problems like we did last time? Chasing you down through the mall was a bit…unusual." She continued, smiling at Shego, sitting between her husband and her child, their hands tightly holding hers and keeping her from leaping up and fleeing.
"Look, my healing factor-"
"Doesn't do anything for plaque on your teeth, and won't stop cavities from forming in the parts of your teeth that aren't alive, such as the enamel." Tara said happily, "and you shouldn't be setting such a bad example for your child, even though she doesn't have any problem with proper dental care."
Cindy hung her head. Mom the mercenary, reformed villain…and complete dental care wuss.
"Are we ready?" She said and Drakken and Cindy both got up, and still holding on to her mother and his wife, dragged her towards the door. Shego desperately tried to put her feet down, but Tara had had the strip of floor leading to the door from the seat Drakken and Cindy had chosen waxed last night, so she couldn't get any purchase.
"Drew…"
"Now Shego, I'll be there in spirit…"
"Spirit?"
"You get a bit loud."
Then they were at the door, and Shego was handed off to Tara.
"Come on, Shego, it won't be that bad… and I'll give you a treat if you don't, ah, faint like last time."
"I DID NOT FAINT!" She said, as the door closed. Drakken and Cindy looked at each other, and Cindy looked at the rows of kids sitting down waiting for them.
"Daaaaaddddd…." She whined, "This is so embarrassing."
"Now Cindy, everyone has little phobias."
"Last time she ran out of the mall, and then there was the time she hid on the roof and-"
"I know, dear, but your mother has a complex about dentists…and ultrasonic cleaners."
From inside the room, there was a muffled clank and Shego's voice rose up: "Restraints….RESTRAINTS!"
Tara's voice came back. "Well I don't want to have to chase you down like last time…now here we go, just a little ultrasonic cleaning to get that plaque loose…."
"AAAAAAEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!"
"I hope Tara is wearing her ear plugs." Drakken said. Cindy looked at the kids most of whom were now hunkering down in their seats at the increasingly hysterical sounds coming from the office. The receptionist looked at her and grinned.
"Don't worry—Tara booked all the kids who don't like to brush for this morning." Another shriek issued from the door, "She's gonna tell them that is what happens if you don't brush and floss."
The End.
