Dreams of a Father
Ben adjusted his backpack on his shoulder. He'd finally reached the top of the social hierarchy and now he had to start again. He had dreaded the coming of fall and high school.
Ben sighed. He just couldn't talk to his mom about some things. He missed having a man around to ask questions. He missed Dean… despite his occasional moodiness and over-protectiveness. Dean didn't always tell him everything, but he had never lied. Ben wasn't a needy kid. Sometimes, just being with Dean in the garage was enough. Ben wondered if Dean thought about him. But, Dean wasn't there.
