Mistake
By Angel Kamiya
When the door finally opened Han was the first person to step out into the hallway. As the smuggler looked around he saw that there were no Stormtroopers nearby. They were safe for now. Han turned around and began to take off the Stormtrooper armor he was wearing. There was no point in wearing it anymore because the disguise wouldn't work. The crew had already seen that the people causing all the trouble had a very tall Wookiee with them. Han could barely see anything while wearing the helmet so he was glad to be taking the thing off.
"Let's get out of here," Han mumbled, checking the blaster to see that it was still working.
Leia stepped away as far as she could from the garbage compactor as she tidied herself up. When she got back to the Rebel base she would take a really long shower. The entire incident with the garbage compactor was something she wanted to completely forget. It had been so embarrassing. They had almost been crushed and it was only because of Luke's driod that they were still alive.
"I hope you think before the next time you shoot at a door that reflects blaster fire," Leia said, rolling her eyes.
It took a moment for Han to realize how annoying the young woman was. This was like he was in some kind of hell. Why didn't she act a little grateful that he had risked his life to save her? The only reason he was there with Luke was because of the reward but she didn't know about that yet. Han looked at her and saw her clearly for the first time. The Princess was attractive but that seemed to be the only good thing about her.
"Will you stop talking about it?" Han retorted. "I thought you've forgiven me for that. You didn't have a problem with hugging me."
"What?" Leia said, shocked.
"You were all over me when the garbage compactor stopped," Han muttered.
"I wasn't."
"Yes, you were. The first time I meet a Princess and she hugs me. I didn't think you would smell so bad though," Han grinned.
Leia felt her face get red so she quickly turned around. While she folded her arms across her chest she wondered if Han treated every women that he met for the first time so rudely. Leia remembered hugging him but that was only because she had been so happy at not being crushed to death. That was something that she would not repeat.
"That was a mistake. I won't do that again," Leia answered, wishing someone else had rescued her. Luke was nice but this smuggler really was irritating.
"I think you enjoyed it Princess," Han smirked. "But if you want anything more from me you'll have to buy me dinner first."
Leia barely managed to stop herself from slapping Han. Instead of letting him know how much he had gotten to her she forced her mouth shut. The last thing they needed were Imperial troops hearing her yell. As she tried to take care of her clothes she put her hand in her hair. When they got out of there she was going to get away from him.
"Han. Princess Leia. We need to really get going," Luke interrupted, not believing how much his friends were fighting already. It looked like they really hated each other.
"If we can just avoid any more female advice, we ought to be able to get out of here," Han replied.
