It's the wednesday before New Year's Eve and Rory is on campus at Yale packing for her weekend home because Logan is still away in London when her phone ring's and it's Lorelai.
''Hi Mom!'' Rory says
''Hi Hun!'' Lorelai says
''so what's up mom?'' Rory asks her
''I was just wondering if you we're going to be coming home and joining all of us for New Year's tomorrow night?'' Lorelai asks her
''oh yea maybe Logan is still away in London so I was planning on going to call Paris to see if she wanted to come and join us because there's no way I would miss all the Stars Hollow New Year's festivities for the world.'' Rory tells her
''aww that sound's good and like fun.'' Lorelai tells her
''yea I though so, so do you know if April is still going to be in The Hollow?'' Rory asks her
''oh I don't know I havn't talked to Luke yet today so I don't know what he was up to but probably since she is still here staying with us for Winter break.'' Lorelai tells her
''oh ok cool.'' Rory says
''ok hunnie I'll let ya go so you can go and call Paris you know I just wanted to check and call to see if you we're still planning on coming home this weekend I ove you hunnie see you tomorrow.'' Lorelai tells her
''ok love you too see you tomorrow bye mom.'' Rory says and hang's up and calls Paris
