Transmutation Gone Right

Ed felt relieved. He had confessed his deepest secret to Winry and now they were walking hand-in-hand back to the hotel they were staying at. He loved her more than anyone. As they were walking they turned a corner and saw a man with his hood up. They walked over and the man looked up. He looked at Winry and a smirk spread across his face. Ed wrapped his arm protectively around Winry's waist and pulled her closer to him. The man's smirk vanished as he saw this. "What seems to be the problem here?" Winry asked. "Stupid thing won't start and I just filled her up." The man replied. "Let me have a look." Winry said and looked at the cars engine. "Someone stole your alternator." She said. Winry bent down and picked up a brick. "Ed if you would be so kind." She said giving him the puppy dog eyes. "Yea yea, damn she knows good and well I can't say no to her when she looks at me like that." Ed muttered as he put the brick down. He clapped his hands together and transmuted the brick into an alternator. "Order up, one alternator. Get it while it's hot." Ed said jokingly as he handed it to Winry who was laughing. She quickly put it in and the man started the car and left after thanking them. As Ed and Winry left again they saw a ball bounce in the street. Winry made a run for the kid chasing it and pushed her out of the way as a car came speeding by and hit Winry sending her over it and onto the concrete. Ed rushed to her, she was dead. Ed turned his head to see the car still driving and clapped his hands. Suddenly four walls covered the car. Ed clapped his hands again and the four walls crushed the car into a paper size piece of metal. Ed turned back to Winry as he picked her up. Her head fell lifelessly against his chest. He had an idea. He would perform the forbidden alchemy. He would perform a human transmutation and get his love back. Ed took Winry to the hotel and made a transmutation circle. He placed Winry in the middle of the circle and used alchemy. A golden light filled the room and a funnel formed in the middle of the circle. When it all cleared Ed had lost his auto-mail limbs and Winry lay alive in the middle of the circle. When she opened her eyes she saw Ed against the wall. She stood up and Ed looked up with tears in his eyes. "It worked Winry, it worked." He said. Winry realized what she was standing on. She ran over to Ed and hugged him with her head on his chest. She was silently crying against him. "I love you Winry." Ed said. "I love you too Ed." Winry said. They stayed like that for a while until Winry found out that Ed couldn't walk. She went upstairs and got his extra auto-mail and put it on him. That night as they ate dinner Ed asked Winry to marry him and the whole country heard her say "YES".
