Family Ties
Born into life
Full of faces and smiles.
Hugged by my parents
When I fall off my bike.
Two years later everything
Is all wrong.
Mommy drinks, and
Daddy yells.
I want to cry but
All I show is smiles.
It is hurting me.
My heart cries out
To the smiles on my
Face.
One court session on
Through my life.
No mommy anymore,
It is just daddy at
The door.
Smiles on the outsides, but
The inside is no more.
