Fates Chosen

"It's not like this is the fate I decided for myself, Naruto. That thing, the creature inside of me was placed there when I was a baby. To protect my village, the sister village of Konoha." Tears streamed down her cheeks as she poured her heart out. "To have people shun me and call me the names that they do, when they think I am not listening. It's a fate that was chosen for me, just like for you and Gaara, but we all choose to deal with it differently didn't we. You made friends with the other kids in the village, he decided to take his rage out on others and create the dreaded Gaara of the Sand. Me, I choose to stay away from all that, by leaving the village and traveling on my own." The wind blew her hair.

"Yeah that was the fate you choose for yourself, to be alone. But…." He walked over to her and grabbed her hand in his. "Can't you see? You don't have to be alone anymore." He gripped her hand tighter and she looked at him.

"Naruto…"

"You have me now."

"What are you saying, Naruto?"

"I am saying since the day I saw you in that village when I was with the pervy Sage I've…. Been drawn to you. I can't explain it but my heart knows what it wants and I want you." He said seriously making sure he had her eyes.

"You… you" he breathed hitched "don't know what you are saying!" she jerked her hand away and clutched it close to her chest.

Anger started to fill Naruto. He couldn't understand this girl for nothing, to him it was like she was trying to destroy herself, make herself lonely. To him she was a goddess with how the moon glistened on her blonde hair. Finally he had enough, grabbing her shoulders he spun her to face him.

"What are you doing? Are you trying to make yourself miserable? Do you want to be alone for the rest of your life?" He yelled at her.

"Yes, it's better that way for everyone can't you see!" She yelled back, pushing herself away from him.

"Why?"

"I … I can't control it." She said in a hushed voice as she leapt off the edge of the cliff down into the forest below.

Naruto rushed to cliff and looked as she fell. Opening his mouth he yelled out her name "Alurna!"

She heard him yell her name and the tears came down again. This was her fate, to forever be alone and deal with the creature inside that currently resided in her body.

~Poor child.~

"Shut up!"

~He really loves you.~

"I know."

~Then why push him away.~

"Because I can't trust this body with anyone."

~Your talking about that man in the very first village you had went to when you you're your home.~

"Yes."

~I killed him because he wanted to use you for his own selfish gain.~

He mind flashed to that time. Blood covered the walls of the room that they were both standing in. The man's body lay on the floor torn into pieces. The last thing she could remember was them talking and then all went black. And then when she came back she woke to that scene, all she could do was run away.

Naruto stood on the cliff and looked up at the moon.

*Don't worry Naruto, you will find her again.*

"Are you sure about that Kyuubi?" he asked the nine tailed fox in him.

*Yes, I am.*

"Good."

*Our souls will reunite again and I will be forever satisfied.*
