Hello there loves! This is Megan, with a fic FINALLY up. I realized the beauty that is the Velvet Goldmine back in 2000, but it wasn't until today that I decided I needed to talk about my faviorte character, one who I think is overlooked far too much: Jack Fairy. We don't see how everything affected Jack, so I tried to show that here. Please review, but if you're going to say something negative say it in a nice way or I'll cry.

Jack Fairy wished that he could take something from Brian Slade for once. Brian took so much from Jack, stole things that Jack will never get back. When Brian walked into the Sombrero club for that fateful first time, Jack's life stopped. Brian twisted around Mandy, seduced her, took her, with not a care about Jack or his feelings. But Mandy wasn't enough. Brian tried to take Jack that night, but Jack resisted. So Brian took his gem. Jack's prized jewel that sparkled with so many shades of green. It meant more to Jack than all the diamonds or pearls in the world. When Jack started to break and thought that there was nothing left that Brian could take, he stuck again. He stole who Jack was. He stole the life of the aloof, androgynous rock-star in the making. Brian shattered Jack into millions of sparkling pieces. He took everything that ever mattered away, stole his shine. But Jack had the last laugh. Jack took the one thing that mattered more than anything else to Brian; more than the green gem, more than the fame. Jack took Curt Wild. He erased all touches of Brian from Curt's mind, soul, skin. He made sure Brian would never be able to touch Curt again, never look into those changing eyes and run his fingers through that golden hair. Jack finally took all that Brian was and wanted, and Jack was happy.
