She was excited, it's been a while since she's seen her boyfriend, Shikamaru and today was the day they would finally see each other. She was basically tingling all over with excitement. She couldn't wait. They were suppose to meet at the ramen stand and she took a seat. She spotted his spiky brown hair from a mile away. But interestingly enough he saw her and didn't go right towards her, he just walked off ignoring her prescense. She walked towards him and tapped his back, he turned around and planted one of those fake smiles on his face.
"Hey Ino."
She ignored it, she didn't want to make a big deal out of smile. She wanted to do everything with him even the impossible which probably meant jumping across cars that were on fire.
"So what do you want to d-"
She was cut off by his facial expressions he looked unhappy. And seemed like he wanted to run back to his house and never speak again.
"I don't love you Ino."
"What?"
"My heart it belongs with Sakura .She's the sun to my earth. I thought you would understand. I only asked you out so she'd get jealous ,I thought it was obvious. And now she wants me back so, I guess we're breaking up."
She wanted to cry but she had to be strong, she nodded her head and started to walk away. She ignored his yells and started to run towards the woods. She entered through the hole in the fence she sat herself on a log and started to cry. She wanted him to come find her and tell how much he loves her. But it wasn't going to happen his mind was fixed on Gabby. Not her. It would never be her. Only in her dreams.
"Hello? Is anyone here? If so are you ok?"
She looked up, it was just Neji. She continued crying ignoring his prescense and not caring what he thought or said. He noticed her and joined her on the log putting his arm around her. She wanted to push him away but she could use a shoulder to cry on.
"Why do you care?"
"Cause I do."
"So why don't you tell me what happened."
She explained everything and unlike usually he didn't laugh at her situation or make any jokes. He actually listened which pleased her. She was happy that someone cared enough to come looking for her. Happy that he found her. Happy that he was here.
"Neji."
"Yes?"
"Thank you."
Happy that he was hers.
