Warriors: An Epic War

Prologue

"So, you have finally joined among us." A tabby warrior spat at his blue-eyed son.

"I didn't mean to-"Hawkfrost began.

"Silence! Whatever the reason, you have failed in killing your brother, and you do not deserve to be called my son. However, I have need of your talents, so I forgive you now. I was going to call you here anyway." Tigerstar narrowed his eyes and looked around, as if StarClan was overhearing them.

"You were? What for?" Hawkfrost asked, shivering slightly at the damp coolness of the dim forest they stood in.

"I'm so glad you asked me that, my son. You see, the cats of the Dark Forest are going to have a war." Tigerstar smirked, twitching his whiskers.

"A war, eh? I wonder who it's with." Hawkfrost licked his lips in anticipation of the warm gush of blood lapping against his claws and delicately washing the dirt off his paws and giving him the sweet fragrance of intimidation.

Tigerstar smiled even more widely, his eyes gleaming like flashlights against the cloak of darkness.

"We'll have our war soon, alright. And it will be against StarClan." He chuckled darkly.

"StarClan? Father, we can't-" Hawkfrost began.

"Don't tell ME what I can and cannot do!" Tigerstar snarled, cuffing his son in the ears. Blood dripped from Hawkfrost's ear tips as Tigerstar retracted his claws.

"S-s-sorry…" Hawkfrost muttered, glaring at his father.

"Come on, we must find the other cats and recruit them. As well as the cats that live among the other clans." Tigerstar sighed. Raising himself from his paws, he turned away from Hawkfrost and went to round up his faithful supporters and old friends; Clawface, Darkstripe, and Brokenstar.

"Wait! How do you suppose you're going to do that? No one will listen to you!" Hawkfrost questioned.

"Oh, when there's a will, there's a way. And I definitely have a way." Tigerstar growled, chuckling throatily as he first ran to Darkstripe.

"What of Brambleclaw? Should we kill him off, or may he be of some use as well?" Hawkfrost asked curiously, hoping that his father would say no so he could kill him.

"Apparently he's more useful than you are, because he defeated you fair and square in a battle." Tigerstar snapped. Hawkfrost visibly flinched, but Tigerstar calmed down. It wouldn't do for him to stir up Hawkfrost's short temper to the point where he would refuse to assist him in the war he would throw against StarClan.

"Hawkfrost, appear to any Hopefuls that you find and bring them to the Dark Forest. Scrape your claws against the ground three times, and I will arrive and end their life in whatever clan they were from and bring them to the Dark Forest." Tigerstar ordered curtly, finally disappearing.

"First I should go for ThunderClan…That'll teach Brambleclaw not to mess with me!" Hawkfrost growled, vanishing on the spot as he made his way to the clan he frequently visited the most next to Rainclan…
