Dragondust
Her treasures are getting old and worn: the name she wore around her neck, the ladle she'd carried down the mountain, a piece of jade that had been Jun's first present for her, the official seal that now was only memories for her, Danzi's scale…but not the mirror he'd given her when she accepted her role as Dragonkeeper, and not Kai's smaller and greener scale.
She wonders if that's a reflection of Kai's youth, even if she has grown far older since then. She has children now, and yet by dragon years Kai is still a child: her first child.
