A Second Purpose
"Welcome," a mysterious man said.
"Who the /-/- are you? Why the /-/- am I here? And what is with the censoring?" Shinjiro asked, clearly very annoyed at his current situation.
"I am Igor," the man said, itching his long nose fondly. "As for where you are, this is a place known as the Velvet Room. I believe a friend of yours visits here quite regularly."
"Who Aki?" Shinjiro asked, stunned. "This place looks important, how'd he end up here?"
"No, I meant Minato Arisato," Igor sighed. "Haven't you ever wondered where all his personae come from?"
"Never cared," Shinjiro shrugged. "So then, why am I here? I don't have that kid's power."
"Well, this servers a double purpose," Igor continued. "This is also the gateway to Heaven."
"Then I don't belong here," Shinjiro stated simply.
"Yes well, Elizabeth has reviewed your life and it has been decided that you do belong here," Igor smiled. "So if you will just exit through that door, you will find yourself in Heaven."
"Wait, you still didn't tell me why I'm being censored," Shinjiro stated, trying to postpone his inevitable fate. He was fine with being dead and all, that didn't bother him. But this whole going to Heaven business, he didn't like that idea one bit.
"You have to understand, this is a place friendly to all ages," Igor smiled. "We cannot allow our younger angels to hear such fowl language."
Shinjiro just sighed and decided he would have to settle for that. Maybe there was a way to be transferred to Hell, anything had to be better than what he saw when he opened the door that Igor had pointed him towards.
They should get longer after this.
Next time: Shinjiro begins his stay at Heaven. And he learns of playing cards.
