'Unlocked Door'
Everytime he sees the door unlocked his heart skips a beat, thinking about the numerous possibilities. The distance from door to their room takes an ages to get covered and within this time he dies a million deaths.
His steps slow and careful, always want to pull back in fear, not wanting to face his fear. His eyes travels the area around hall and then kitchen, ears alert for even a single feeble sound.
No sounds- makes his heart beat faster. His steps becomes slow but never stop till he reaches the threshold of their room. His trembling hand pushes the door and eyes look around.
No sign of her- his heart wants to come out from his cage. But then he hears the hish sound from bathroom. For a moments he wants to relax but then his fear overtake his postive mind and his heart remain beating faster, not until the door of the bathroom get unlocked and she comes out.
And suddenly everything is normal. Every fear is forgotten. He smiles at her. She never understands that smile of his and he never tells her. He hates this feeling but it always remind him to be safed and to keep her safe. But unlocked door never fails to frighten him.
"You home!" She says.
"Yes." He replies.
He hugs her, softly.
"I love you Ana."
"Me too Christian."
He doesn't say it easily. Ana knows there's something but she never wants to know. It feels good to hear I love you even after so many years of their marriage.
