David sighed and flopped down another newspaper, letting the reality of the situation sink in. He was a poor, jobless 20-year-old with no college degree, no friends, and no hope. He relied heavily on his uncle for financial support, considering that his mother had died giving birth to him, and his father was the one responsible for leaving him on the side of the road as a baby. At least he has, or rather had, a ray of hope in his life. That ray of hope was Sarah Keane. David had met her while working at his last job. Odd place to meet a girl, working at a horror attraction. Their relationship bloomed until David was forced to move in with her after the horror attraction burnt to the ground. That forced both of them out of a job, leaving them with a dwindling supply of money. As the money reserves grew smaller, the friction between the two grew larger until Sarah left David and kicked him out of her house and onto the streets.
He had been able to make do by being a beggar for spare change, but it never amounted to anything useful. That was until a young man gave David a $100 bill. He held onto the money for as long as he could, making sure no one would steal his property. At one point David borrowed a person's phone and called one of his uncle with the proposition of moving in with him. Begrudgingly, his uncle agreed, under the condition that he payed rent to him. The next day, David arrived at his uncle's house where he was bluntly informed that he would be sleeping in the old guest house in the back. After getting all of his things squared away, he picked up the most recent newspaper he could find and began scouring for jobs.
He was on his third newspaper when he found the ad. It was for a place called Fazbear Fright. After scanning the ad for any useful information, he picked up the landline and dialed the number.
"Hello, this is Fazbear Fright. We will not be taking any calls at this time. If you are calling about a business- related topic or job inquiry, please call this number: 1-800-FAZ-FAZBEAR."
Sighing, David dialed the new number and waited as he got an automated wait message. After about 5 minutes of waiting, he was finally put through.
"Hello, this is Fazbear Fright."
"Hi, my name's David and I would like to apply for the night guard position if it isn't already filled."
"Well, you are a man of perfect timing, David. that position just became open."
"When do you want me to come in, then?
"At 11:30. Your uniform will be sitting on your desk when you get there, and there should be some tapes in the office explaining everything."
"Wait, what?"
"Congratulations David, you're hired."
"I wish I would've never made that mistake."
