The labyrinth, Sarah concluded, was all just a silly dream.

Sarah Williams grew older, driving instead of walking, graduating high school, eventually becoming employed at a major writing company at 21 and attending a college in Georgia, which wasn't too far from her home state. She was a beautiful, grown woman who still had her prominent independent personality, as well as a well-kept apartment and a golden retriever puppy named Merlin 2. Sarah was perfectly happy- but something was off.

Occasionally, there would be unexplainable giggling heard, or missing objects around her place- usually jewelry. Whenever she would go on dates found on her various dating sites, things would go awry. The latest was a handsome Irishman who mysteriously had hiccups all throughout the date at a fancy restaurant. She shrugged it off, thinking dating sites- what can you do?

The day afterwards, she felt a tad bit hungry. The woman opened the refrigerator, only to find it completely empty. Not knowing what to do, she decided to ignore it after searching her house four times.

"That's too bad, I was craving peaches. Time to go to the grocery store."

Sarah dressed herself in a white sundress and attempted to start her car. It didn't work. She cussed loudly.

"It's okay. I'll just walk to the farmer's market. Merlin needs a walk anyways."

She put the collar and leash on her golden friend and walked a mile to the market.

"Hot bread! Get your hot bread!" an old woman shouted.

A live country band played in the background. People of all ages were there. Merlin's tail wagged at the smell of meat cooking. They walked past stained glass art and a pottery stand. Sarah ignored the book stand where she eyed a book titled The Labyrinth and walked toward a sweet smell that she couldn't refuse.

The man at the stand smiled.

"Yum. Home grown peaches. I haven't had one since…" she trailed off.

"I know what you mean. Here, try a sample." He offered.

"I would love to." She said, stomach growling.

Sarah ate, eyes closing at the taste of the fruit.

"I'll take five pounds, please." Sarah said.

He raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

His accent is so alluring, she thought.

"Oh, you'd be surprised. I am sure I will come back. You look so familiar. What is your name?"

"Here, just take my card," the blond man said.

As he opened his hand, it revealed a crystal sphere.

"Remember what I said. The offer still stands," He stated, putting his index finger on her lips.

She looked around- everyone was gone.

"I accept."

They dissolved into the castle of the Underground- where they immediately married. And their wedding cake was peach flavored.
