"Harder. You have to push."
Haruno Sakura's voice cried out in pain throughout the village of Konoha. Medic nin's rushed in and out of her room constantly as she cried out, blood gushing out of the opening in her lower abdomen.
You see, Haruno Sakura is not your ordinary nin. She's been trained by Hatake Kakashi and the legendary Sannin Tsunade, but nothing could've prepared her for this. Not all the training in the world, not all the missions she's been on, nothing. Nothing could prepare her for childbirth. Not after the circumstances that he, yes he, was conceived.
"Sakura-chan, do you want the child to have the father's last name?"
Her gaze drifted upwards, tears threatening to spill over her eyes at the memory. She had not wanted the child in the beginning, knowing who it had belonged to, knowing that the child would most likely be hated, hated by everybody for what it would be. Sakura clenched her fists, tears streaming down her face as blood dripped from crescent wounds in her hands. She would love this child no matter what.
"No... no matter... what...!"
The med-nin's turned towards Sakura, a surprised look on her face. She had sat up fully, bracing herself with bloody hands.
"Sakura-chan, are you..!"
Turning her head quickly toward the nin who had spoken to her earlier, Sakura spoke, "Name the child Kazichi." There was fire in her eyes, and no refusing her.
The med-nin gulped. "S... Sakura-chan, m-may I ask... w-why..?"
Sighing, as she fell back, another contraction coming on, she breathed in deeply, barely gasping her sentence out.
"A... after... h-his... father."
The nurses looked one to the other as their eyes widened, only one dared to speak it aloud.
"Wind."

Author's Note: This was originally written as a challenge on (( which I am happily subscribed!! )). The theme (( for this story )) was Pregnancy and had to be some form of Naruto pairing. This is the turn-out. ... And if you didn't guess, I made this a Sakura/Gaara pairing, though it could be considered Sakura/Kankuro, Sakura/Gaara is so much better... LoL! (( No offense to Sakura/Kankuro lovers! I've read that pairing before! Tis okies!! ))
Also, Kazichi means "first child of wind"
