Yet another story in my spree of updating. I dedicate this to my friend Summer, who absolutely adores this pairing.

----------------------

He was merely a weapon, one that when it had served its purpose it could be disposed of without another thought. He was insignificant. He didn't matter.

Or at least, that's what he thought. But Zabuza knew better. Haku was his world. The problem was, Haku didn't know of this.

Zabuza tried his best to tell him the night before the battle, but his foolish pride stopped him. That was the beginning of Haku's downfall.

He had tried to tell him during the battle, but it was too late. Haku was too far-gone. The young boy had sacrificed himself for Zabuza's dreams.

Nothing mattered to Zabuza after his beloved Haku died. He felt numb. He could feel no more pain. He felt nothing as various weapons planted themselves into his back, or when Kakashi pulled them back out.

All he wanted now was to die in peace, staring at Haku's beautiful face.

As he lay there dying, he silently prayed they ended up in the same place where they could spend eternity together.

And they did.

It's not one of my best, but hey, I tried. Please review!
