I told you he was going to eat a baby, but did you listen? No. x3

Killing Time

Tick

Christophe shut his eyes, trying to drive the sound out of his head.

Tock

He growled and slammed the already broken clock against the wall, yet the sound persisted.

Tick

He sank to the floor, head slumping into his hands as he gave a tired sob. Even he could only take so much.

Tock

He had been up for a week straight due to the infernal noise supposedly coming from a clock that was little more than a pile of cogs. The hands didn't even move anymore.

Tick

He laughed, a dark chuckle that would have sent shivers down anyone's spine had he not been the only person in the room.

Tock

He looked at the doorway of the small square cell he was in as a naked blonde woman led a horse past. He waved to her and she waved back. He horse flicked its tail and they were gone.

Tick

The dirt of the floor of the cell started flying up into the air as a small mole burrowed up into his cell. The small creature beckoned to him and he came obediently, looking down the hole into a world where the sun was shining and everything was like a fairy tale. He reached in to the hole to wave at the princess in the tower and fell in.

He tumbled into the sky and looked up into the hole that led to the small dirt room, waving pleasantly up at the mole. Just as he was about to hit the ground…

Tock

He was back in the cell, but this time he was not alone. The princess from the tower was here, but upon closer inspection it was just Gregory in a dress. He smiled at the blonde boy, who smirked and pushed him down. Suddenly he was naked and Gregory's lips were wrapped around him. He reached for the blonde to run a hand through his hair and he exploded into fairy dust.

Tick

He lay back on the floor, looking up at the ceiling as it faded away to reveal a midnight black sky filled with stars. He started whistling and the stars fell like rain, streaking past him into the black abyss the floor had become until he was laying in the sky and staring up into the abyss.

Tock

The slot they usually pushed his food through opened and a baby came through. He stared at it for a moment before biting into it, making quick work of the soft, fatty flesh.

Tick

They finally found him three days later, muttering to himself with a vacant smile and a dried red substance on his lips.

Tock

So what do you think? Was it blood or ketchup? Did he eat the baby or was it a figment of his imagination?
