They always told him that he had to tell her. "Just tell her already, fool!" as Abby would say. Tell her what, exactly? What was he supposed to tell her!? What was it? Kuki Sanban was eternally this cheerful child whose favorite past-time was playing with her stuffed animals, and often times, her Rainbow Dorkies, as he would call it. She was the poster-child of happiness. Her smile radiated the essence of joy. However, when she did cry, you would console her and maybe even cry right alongside her. She wasn't without flaws at all. When an insult made it pass her radar, she would not go down without a fight. Her eyes would glow with anger and rage. She wasn't one to mess with when she entered that state. Not at all! None of those facts led him to conclude what his team meant by "telling her." What was he supposed to tell her?
His companions would occasionally pull him aside. He was baffled as to why the issue seemed to be private and locked away from the sweet, young girl. He had admit a lot to her, because of his friend's constant bickering. Over and over again, he had to tell her the most trivial things. He confronted the fellow ten-year-old on practically anything that his team somehow wouldn't tell her. From her shoes being untied to a popcorn kernal stuck in her teeth, he was their to tell her. Wallabee Beetles never understood. They would always tell him, "Just go ahead and tell her." He never wanted to point out this things because he knew that the negative would hurt her feelings. Who wants to see the jolly one of the group down in the dumps, even if it is only for a few minutes?
Evidently, for the longest time he never could comprehend what it was that they wanted him to say. One day, he was dressed in the fanciest of attire that deemed worthy for the event. Cufflinks fastened neatly to his cuffs and his shoes were polished to the point where you can see your reflection rather precisely, as if looking into a purified pond. He stood beside an altar in a room filled with his friends and family. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes as the music switched to a familiar tune. He lifted his eyelids from the darkness to be greeted with bright white light. After a moment of adjustment, he could clearly make out the figure gracefully making its way towards him. For a moment, he felt as if he had stopped breathing. There she was. The girl who he never quite understood was now a goddess basked in a white gown, ready to be taken away by the only man she judges to be noble. Kuki Sanban placed her hands within her soon-to-be husband's palms and peered into his loving eyes. His mouth went dry but he moved his lips the best he could to silently tell her, "I love you." The boy understood.
A/N: I've had this theory that Numbuh Four never understood why his teammates told him that he had to "tell her." What if our dunce ,Wally, never assumed that the team knew about his crush on Numbuh Three?
I wrote this quite a few years ago and figured it was time for an edit. It's such a short one shot that I felt, "Why not?" Now I'm hungry while listening to my Journey CD. . Bye guys!
