Trying my hand at a purely Frozen piece. Here's a batch of very short "what if" drabbles!

Disclaimer: Disney owns Frozen.

If Anna was not struck by Elsa's powers as a child...

"Anna!" Elsa cried as her sister jumped. She created a snow pile before she could even blink. Anna landed just inches before she would have collided into the ground, cushioned by the snow. Tears sprang into Elsa's eyes. She sighed in relief. Anna was fine. Anna is fine. The panic that bubbled in Elsa's chest died away as her sister's laughter rang in the ballroom.

If Elsa's mantra had been different...

"I'm still scared, Papa. What if I freeze the whole room like last time?"

The king gently patted Elsa's trembling hands. "It's alright, Elsa. Remember what you have learned. 'Embrace it. Don't hide it.'"

"'Don't let fear stop you," the princess finished. She took a deep breath and pulled her gloves off. The room stayed warm and frost-free, and Elsa exchanged a smile with her father. She couldn't wait to tell Anna and her mother the wonderful news.

If Elsa had the chance to take one step at a time...

"I'm only showing Kai and Gerda a snowflake, right?" Elsa asked, lacing and unlacing her fingers together. The gloves may have been set aside for months now, but the nervous habit of keeping her hands in perpetual motion had remained.

"Yes, Elsa. A snowflake, just like the one you made now," the king replied, warmly. His daughter was making great progress in controlling her powers, and he couldn't be prouder.

"Can Anna watch too?" Elsa pleaded, hope shining in her blue eyes. The king thought for a moment, exchanging a look with the queen. She offered him a knowing smile.

"Next time, my dear," the queen answered and Elsa's face lit up with joy.

If Arendelle had sent her princesses across the sea...

A heart wrenching cry echoed in the library. A letter of condolences lay in pieces on the carpeted floor. Elsa and Anna's ship never arrived in Corona's port.

If Anna kept a secret from Elsa since they were children...

"I'm your sister, Anna. Why can't you trust me?" Elsa cried to her sister's retreating back.

"Leave me alone!" Anna shouted back.

Green light burst from Anna's fingertips. An arc of sharp, black thorns lined the floor, protecting her from Elsa and the onlooking, terrified crowd. Anna stood up taller, a fire in her watering, blue eyes.

Elsa stared, wide-eyed. So this was why Anna had kept her distance.

If a wedding had occurred...

"Do you, Anna, take Kristoff to be your troll-fully wedded-"

"YES, I DO. Now get to part when I can kiss him. Ah, why wait?" And Anna grabbed Kristoff's stunned face and kissed him. The red in his cheeks was definitely not from the biting winter air.

If Olaf was not an expert at lock-picking...

Cold. Warmth. Elsa. Anna finally let it go.

If love did not save them...

"Of course. Love," Elsa breathed, and for the first time in forever, she had hope that she could do something right. But when she closed her eyes and concentrated her powers and tried to will the winter away, she couldn't hear the wind or feel her sister's presence beside her. The silence was deadly. Elsa gasped when she opened her eyes. Everything and everyone was now ice. She never spoke her sister's name after that day. Her heart was broken, and Arendelle was known as the Ice Queen's first conquest.

Angsty "what if's" are easier to come up with than the happy ones, but I like happier ones better. Guess that gives me an excuse to practice writing more Frozen fics. xD

Please drop a review. I'm still relatively new to writing fics for this fandom, and any feedback is greatly appreciated.
