After months and months of waiting, the big day had finally arrived. Rapunzel was awoken by the soft warm rays of sun that gleamed through her window. She slothfully stretched her arms and turned over to kiss her fiancé good morning but found no one beside her.

"Eugene?" she gasped, suddenly alarmed. She found to her right a small purple envelope with Rapunzel written on it in perfect calligraphy. Rapunzel smiling, knowing Eugene had something to do this. She opened the envelope to find a note:

My dearest Rapunzel,

Good morning. They say it's bad luck to see your wife on your wedding day. Usually I would say "nuance" to that. But I would never do anything to mess up the first day of the rest of my life.

I'll see you at the altar. I'll been the dashing thief in the tux.

I love you,

Eugene.

This made Rapunzel smile, especially the closing to the letter. Her soon-to-be husband never referred to himself as Eugene, his birth name, like she insists he does. But rather he enjoys being called Flynn Ryder, the swash buckling hero from his childhood storybooks.

Rapunzel sighed a peaceful sigh and rolled back over to get five more minutes of sleep. She had previously been a little worried about Eugene having commitment issues, which is why she hesitated in accepting his proposal. But, for some reason, this morning she didn't feel that way anymore. She felt at peace with her decision to marry him. She blissfully drifted away into a nice sleep. Rapunzel felt she could sleep easy know knowing Eugene is just as happy as she is to start their life together. He truly is her prince.
