Laughter.
Disclaimer: Yeah, Yeah, They ain't mine... but you wait... you just wait and see... In 3 years... they still won't be mine. ;)
Casey and Olivia went to the restaurant/bar down the street from the precinct to just hang out. They were talking like high-school girls, enjoying themselves and giggling.
Casey said something really funny which made them both laugh really loud. They noticed that, even though probably no one else heard the joke, the people around them were laughing. They stopped and looked at each other. One of the waitresses who was laughing said one of them had a contagious laughter. They decided, to figure out which one it was, they would start randomly laughing at work and see if anybody else joins them.
Next Day
Olivia was sitting at her desk just like any other day. Her phone rang and she answered it, "Special Victims Unit. Benson."
"Liv, It's Casey," said the voice from the other end.
"Hey, Whats up?"
"Oh, nothing really. I tried laughing randomly and, all I got was stares. How about you?"
"I didn't do it."
"Why not?"
"Because, Casey, I don't want to make a fool out of myself."
Those words caused Elliot to look up at her with curiosity.
"Oh come on... I did."
"So."
"So, now you have to."
"Casey-"
"No. I don't want to hear it. Just do it," After that said, she hung up.
Liv hung up the phone and looked down, a smile creeping across her face.
"What did Casey want?"
That was her cue. She started laughing, at first lightly, then moving up to a giggle. When she was giggling the room fell silent, but then she heard someone joining her. She looked up to see who it was and it was John and Fin. They were laughing slightly while looking very confused.
A couple of uniforms joined in on the fun and giggled too. Liv, seeing the peoples reaction to her giggling, made her laugh harder.
This made a few more people laugh. Soon the only person who wasn't, was Elliot.
She looked up at him, with a broad smile on her face. She looked him right in the eyes. A smile crept across his face.
He loved seeing her laugh. Just her smile lit up the room, her laughter made it shine. He loved it when she was happy.
He fell into the trap and began laughing.
This made her go over the edge, tears of laughter coming to her eyes.
Finally she was able to calm herself down and stop. So did the others, but everyone still had a smile on their faces. Most everyone went back to work.
After a minute John asked, "So, what was so funny?"
Olivia just shrugged, still smiling. It was going to be a good day.
Haha. Could you tell what kind of mood I was in when inspiration hit? If you didn't start at least giggling or something while reading... then you must be in a very bad mood. I do actually have a very contagious laugh.
Please review! Tell me what ya think of complete random laughing boredness. Haha
