Chapter One: Moonlit Shadows
The young man's eyelids flickered upon as the moon's shine glowed upon him via a hole in the warehouse. The beautiful orb hovering above Earth led him to gaze upon it, the glimmer of his eyes showed a powerful curiousity about it.
That is until he heard and immediately dodged the Mekanorimon's attempt to crush him flat.
He needs to focus right now, this Digimon have been blocking his endeavors long enough. He pulled a mysterious device bearing a black color-scheme and the screen showed a silhouette that beared a glowing yellow eye.
"Is it time?" The creature spoke in a female voice, waiting for the young man's confirmation.
"Yes."
Almost immediately, a mass of darkness poured out of the device and splattered upon the floor. It then began to take shape and appearantly absorb the Mekanorimon's shadow. The mechanical Digimon noticed it before preparing to stab the mass of darkness with it's hand. That is until the mass took form into a dragon-like shadow with a massive wing before it fired out multiple beams out of the red eyes that it began to form from the wing.
The attack managed to make the Mekanorimon take a step back before spears made out of darkness shot out of the shadow, impaling some of the front which cause the Digimon to take a step backward once more.
The young man beared a cold-look on his face before his hand was immediately enveloped in a purple flame. His hand slowly moving towards the device in his other hand.
"Digisoul..."
The Mekanorimon immediately noticed what the young man was going to do and unleashed a beam directly towards the man's head. Almost immediately, time began to slow down...
"Charge."
And then, things went to hell fast.
The entire Warehouse erupted in purple flames before it being absorbed into the Shadow before it began to emerge out from ground and slowly grew into size. The shadow's yelow eye began to change into three as red-bony armor covered it's body. The wing became two as the transformation slowly became complete.
The large bird-like beast immediately speeded and blocked the laser shot before it could even remove the young man's head. It then opened it's beak and lunged at the Mekanorimon for doing such a attempt by tearing off on of it's arms and kicking it down with it's talons.
The bird began to fly upward before stopping in mid-air. The eyes of the creature glowed a more intense yellow before flapping it's wings at the machine Digimon, causing it to be sent flying thanks to the powerful gusts generated from the wings before mysteriously vanishing, thanks to the powers of a unknown force.
"Tch." The young man started before the bird became covered in darkness and shrunk. This time it shrunk until it became a size of a bat, if one would call a being similar to a sound note with bat-like wings, a bat. The bat-like creature flew and perched on the young man's shoulder.
"Z, we must not keep them waiting." The creature informed, bearing the same female voice as the silhouette in the device.
"Fine then, Soundbirdmon." The young man named Z responded to the recently-revealed Soundbirdmon before heading off to parts unknown. At least, for those who don't know is going on.
(Meanwhile...)
"Amazing, such power in a Tamer and with the perfect Digimon for him! This would provide a interesting challenge..."
The voice belonged to a powerful demon, one who can easily sway angels to fall down without raising a hand. The being who can conjure flames that overpowering anything. The Demon Lord of Greed, Barbamon.
"But I musn't bother with this one yet." The demon continued, "I need to find the other human."
"The one who will hold the 13th..."
