I made this story for my friend Kendra. Me, Kendra, and my sister love Doctor who, specifically the 11th Doctor.

A Doctor Who Story For My Friend

Kendra sat on the trampoline with her friends. Macey and Audrey were always interesting, but nothing could be as interesting as a time traveling time lord with a blue box. The four looked up at the starry sky.

"Wow. Isn't it just beautiful out here?" Kendra spoke in awe.

The Doctor just wore a smile.

"Hm, been there, there, and there. Ooo I really liked it there." He said pointing at different stars in the sky.

Macey rolled her eyes.

"Gee, way to ruin the moment."

Audrey just let out a laugh.

"Uh, actually he's been everywhere." She laughed.

The Doctor just laid on his back and looked up.

"I'm sorry, it's just I've never really sat in one spot before."

"Yeah, we get it. You like to adventure all the time." Macey spoke.

The three girls laid beside him and looked at the sky. Even though space has many places it looks as though it's joined to one. One beautiful little canvas of blue, white specks to decorate it. Kendra looked over at the Doctor. His smile was bright.

"How come you like to travel all the time?" she asked.

He looked over, a bit surprised.

"Why do you ask that?"

Kendra's eyes slowly traced back to the sky.

"Well…don't you just want to settle down and…well…be with family?"

"Kendra, you already know that I'm the last of my kind." The Doctor spoke.

She shook her head.

"I know that, but that's not what I meant. I mean, your companions. Don't you like being with them like this?" Kendra asked.

Audrey and Macey just listened with interest.

The Doctor wore his smile.

"Well of course I do, that's why I just want to show them the universe…how amazing it can be."

Kendra smiled back.

"But…don't you see them as…well…your family?"

The Doctor looked over. He was deep in thought. He'd always viewed many of his companions as very close friends, but he hadn't thought of the word family in a long while. He looked back up at her as Kendra brushed his bangs over. She let out a little laugh.

"You'll always be a part of our family." Kendra spoke.

"Yeah!" Audrey and Macey agreed.

"You're loving and kind to the good." Audrey spoke.

"Yet you're ruthless and feared by those who harass the innocent." Macey said.

The Doctor felt a bashful smile creep up on his face.

"You're just to flattery." He replied.

The Doctor froze as all the girls leaned on him. A family. His life was full of many complicated, confusing, fun yet dangerous adventures. But nothing could be so simple and as wonderful as a family. They all kept their eyes on the beautiful stars above them. The Doctor felt his heart racing with excitement. A family was certainly going to be a new adventure.
