Park
"Mama, me like the park, it's fun." Johnna told Jackie as she walked up to her.
"I'm glad you are having fun sweetheart." Jackie replied as she and Nick sat on a bench in the park watching the kids play.
Sloan sat in Jackie's lap contently enjoying the sunshine.
"Hi baby Sone." Johnna told her baby brother with a smile as she stuck out her hand to playfully tickle him but as she did so she accidently wacked the baby on the chin (not hard).
Sloan started to cry.
"Be careful sweetheart." Jackie told the little girl as she gently rocked the baby.
"Sorry baby Sone, me no mean to do that, it was accident."
"Aww that's nice Johnna, give Sloan a kiss a cheek." Jackie told her.
Johnna did and pretty soon Sloan was all smiles.
"Go play cutie pie, we can't stay much longer, it's getting chilly." Jackie said to Johnna.
"Ok, me go down the slide." Johnna said as she scurried off towards the slide.
"Alright guys, it's time to go." Jackie told her kids a little while later as both she and Nick stood up.
"Go down slide one more time mommy?" Jasmine asked.
"Alright, you each can go down one more time and then we have to go." Jackie told them.
The kids hurriedly went down the slide one more time and then Nick and Jackie grabbed each child's hand and then they went home and then had dinner.
Later, after the kids had been put to bed Jackie and Nick sat down on the couch together.
"I love how the kids love going to the park so much, my favorite part is watching them play together." Jackie told him.
"Yeah, even though they fight sometimes they really do love each other." he agreed with a smile.
"I'm glad my children have siblings, I was lonely as a child and I wouldn't want that for my kids." Jackie told him.
"Yeah I could see how that would get lonesome, I was fortunate to have siblings."
"Yep and it's nice that you are all still so close, even though you don't get to see each other as much as you'd like." Jackie told him.
"For sure." Nick agreed.
"Speaking of children, this one would really like some ice cream." Jackie told him with a grin as she laid her hand on her stomach.
Nick squinted playfully at her. "Does he or she want ice cream or do you?" He asked.
"He or she." Jackie insisted with a smile.
"Ok, there is some in the fridge, go get it." Nick told her with a playful smirk.
Jackie playfully stuck out her lip.
"He or she really wants daddy to get it."
"And uh, how would you know that?" Nick asked.
"The baby told me." Jackie replied.
Nick laughed.
He got up off of the couch and went into the kitchen.
"Chocolate or Cookies and Cream?" Nick called a couple minutes later.
"A scoop of both please."
Nick laughed again as he dug for the ice cream scooper.
He came back into the living room carrying two bowls.
He handed one to Jackie and then sat down next to her.
"Thank you daddy." Jackie said in a squeaky voice as if the baby was talking to him.
"You're welcome little one." Nick said playing along.
The happy couple ate their ice cream and then went to bed, and soon both were in dreamland wrapped in each other's arms.
