Rumors – Kitten The Ghost

Summary: After a misunderstanding, rumors have been going around that Roy was dating Fullmetal. And Riza decides to fix that. A RoyAi and Anti RoyEd One-shot. Don't like; don't read.

A/N: I've sure done it now, I've posted an Anti Yaoi fic. This is just my way of getting out my irritation towards RoyEd. BTW, this is my first FMA fic, so tell me if I got the characters right. Also, to RoyEd shippers, I recommend you leave now if you don't like Anti Yaoi. *Readies flame shield* I don't own Fullmetal Alchemist. Rated T for swearing.

Rumors

It was a simple mistake, really.

So why the hell did it have to end up like this?

He was walking to his office and that idiot, Fullmetal just had to run into him, placing the two in a compromising and embarrassing position; with Edward on top of himself. The two immediately separated but the damage was done as one of the men saw them and managed to spread a rumor that he and the young alchemist were dating. The thought alone made the colonel sick. Who in the right mind would think he would date Edward?

But regardless, the rumors spread and no matter where he went, someone would make a joke about his "undying love for Fullmetal". It was so aggravating that Roy could barely concentrate on his work.

Then, it happened.

He saw a piece of paper on his desk and curiously took a look only to be horrified by what he saw.

A picture of him kissing Edward. What. The. Hell?

The colonel let his head hit his desk, beginning to reach his limit with this rumor.

"Anything wrong, sir?" His lieutenant, Riza Hawkeye asked.

"Why do people think I'm gay? And worse, with Fullmetal?" Roy asked, not lifting his head from the desk.

"So you've heard the rumors, huh?" The lieutenant guessed.

"Heard them? The men won't stop bugging me about them."

"Who knew that the great Flaming Alchemist would be bothered by a rumor." Riza commented with a chuckle.

"It's degrading having people think I'm with Fullmetal.." Roy muttered.

Just then, an idea went through Riza's mind and her lips curled into a small smirk.

"I might just be able to fix that..." She said, this caught Roy's attention as he raised his head from the desk and looked at his lieutenant.

"If you think it'll work then do it." He replied, curious yet doubtful of her plan. Riza then took Mustang's hand without a word and lead him into the main room where most of the military men were.

"What are you-" Roy began, but was interrupted when Riza's lips met his is a deep, passionate kiss. At first, Roy's eyes widened in surprise before closing as he kissed her back. The entire room was brought to silence as the kiss continued for a minute before Riza finally broke it.

"That should fix everything." She said with a smile as she walked away, leaving a red-faced Roy in her wake. Once he gathered himself, he murmured.

"It sure did."

Wow, I actually managed to finish this, and within the same month I started it. Anyway, like I said, no flaming. This is in no way bashing RoyEd shippers or telling them what to write. By all means, write RoyEd. We all should be able to write what we want. :3
