I wrote this after listening to the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack for the first time in years.

She was beautiful, more beautiful than any creature on this earth should be allowed. He watched her from afar. The first time he had seen her, he knew instantly that she had to be his.

Her blonde hair was flowing down her back, her eyes a deep gold. He wanted to break her of that disgusting habit. Humans were the only source of food, not dirty, stinking animals. He wanted to know what her eyes looked like when she was fully sated on human blood.

He truly enjoyed the way she dressed. Form fitting and expensive with painted nails and red lips. Her pale skin made her even more appealing.

She had stirred something within him that, in the past several hundred years, nothing had been able to. Though he could remove all the sense from another, he himself had been emotionless. Nothing penetrated his cold, haughty barrier. Nothing quite measured up to his excellence.

Until now.

Until her.

He reveled in the emotions she evoked in him. Longing, joy, anger, jealousy.

Just then the largest vampire of the clan came into view. With that idiotic grin, he grabs her around the waist and kisses her.

It took everything in him not to rip the giant oaf to pieces.

He had to bide his time. Wait for the right moment

But he was dying just to feel her by his side, to know she belonged to no one but him. If he had a soul he would sell it.

He had tried to continue on with his life after Aro had allowed the family to live. But he saw her everywhere he walked, in every voice that he heard. So he had gone back, to watch, to learn. He saw her everyday, every night, in the sunlight and in the moonlight, just from afar.

The time was coming. She would believe in him, he would never be ignored.

He would wait for her.

He would make room for her.

He would die for her.

He would kill for her.

Turning away from the scene with a smile on his face, he made his way down the hill toward the couple. No one else was around. Only them.

He could definitely kill for her.
