AN: Okay, this will probably not be appreciated by any waiting on an update on 'Otherwise known as' but I cam across this on my home computer and thought I might post it. It was my first attempt at the fic, much less build up and a very different style. Just thought I'd share because know I'm not actually sure which I like more.

If there was one person that Charlie Todd least wanted to see walk into the Ice House one particularly hot August afternoon it was Rory Gilmore. Actually when he considered the whole thing behind a giant potted palm that Pacey had somehow thought would look good next to the jukebox he amended that thought, realising that his Mother or Father or any close relative or even Paris would have been worse.

That fact included in his mental ramblings did not mean that he wanted to actually see her. There were a great many things standing in the way of Charlie standing up and walking over to say hello, least of which was the potted palm. Along the way to seeing Rory, Charlie would have to pass by the table that he had originally been heading towards. Sat on that table was his assorted friends and ex-girlfriends who not only would, hopefully, greet him cheerfully he's almost positive that they would use the name Charlie. Added to this large obstacle was the fact that Rory was chatting happily away to one of his ex-girlfriends, Joey.

And if there's one thing that Tristan DuGrey remembers about Rory it's that she's not stupid and is therefore likely to notice when someone calls him Charlie.

And if there's one thing that Charlie Todd knows about Joey it's that she's not stupid either and is likely to notice when someone calls him Tristan.

Giving up and slouching behind the giant potted palm, Charlie decided that he was completely screwed. And while he really did actually like the name Charlie, Escobar might be a good choice for when he fled to Mexico.
